BasketVols in the NBA (Pros)

I've noticed this too. He just stands there. Move around a tiny bit.
With AD and/or LeBron on the floor he's not going to get high usage, so he's more valuable stretching a defender out to the corner to give either of them space to work from the wing. When neither of them are on the floor he gets to take more of those possessions.

Knecht won this game for the lakers. Memphis was starting to pull away and he went nuclear and made it a game again
Look, I understand what you’re trying to say. Definitely was clutch with the 3’s down the stretch. And LeBron acknowledged DK’s importance in their win… BUT let’s not kid ourselves here. LeBron won the game for the Lakers. He had 35 pts, 14 assists, 12 rebounds and played 37 minutes. He was 13-22, shooting (FG-60% and 57% 3pt). No LeBron and we aren’t even having this conversation.

Didn’t mean to imply Knecht was a sufficient reason for them to win or even the main reason. Just that he was a necessary reason. They don’t win without him

I did find it odd that in the 4Q he almost never touched the ball even though I think he was on the court the entire 12 minutes. They won, so it worked out, but you have a guy 100% from 3 for the game and they stopped getting it to him.

Maybe after his earlier contribution he’s best utilized as a decoy at that point. He’s still a rookie and Memphis was no doubt scheming how to limit him. So the attention he drew made more opportunities for King J.

I watched. Grizz took defending him seriously in the 4th. It was fascinating to see happen.

That’s exactly what the Lakers want. If Knecht has gravity, then LeBron and AD become unstoppable

Yeah, they paid more attention to him for sure. I was just surprised J.J. didn’t try to scheme anything up for him. But LeBron and AD were scoring, so I guess there was no need to.

Oh and the Grizz started hunting Knecht in the 4th.

He handled it…ok. I saw him give up at least 4 points, and foul on another.

I kinda expected JJ to sub him out because of it, but he kept him in there.
