Baylor DE Convicted of Sexual Assault

It really is pathetic. What Boise State did or didn't do is irrelevant as to whether or not Baylor did the right thing in dealing with this lowlife. Nothing that BSU did or didn't do caused Baylor to screw this up. Saying "Yeah we failed, but they failed first!" is not a defense. Either way BAYLOR FAILED.

Multiple UF AD employees say they were notified he was dismissed and why he was. Either both parties (UF and BU) were notified involuntarily or Muschamp and Co did their homework and pressed further.

Briles has turned into such a whiny ***** lately I take little of what he says seriously. I used to like the guy but he's got as many excuses as Saban does anymore. 😁

Do these quotes relate to the assault or depression?

Only that’s not what Chris Petersen says. Or what Ukwuachu told Rivals.com.

“The Baylor coaches knew everything and were really supportive so I appreciate that,” Ukwuachu said in 2013 after his transfer became official.

“They wanted to give me the chance, and they will support me better.” Five months after making that statement, Ukwuachu attacked a student known in court records as Jane Doe.

UF was told everything. What was everything they were told? They aren't telling and neither is Petersen. Hell, the UF folks won't even own thier "statements". Why not?

The question is, why did "certain" UF staffers feel the need to interject?

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Let's say the former UF guys are lying thru their teeth. What does that have to do with Baylor?

Results Of Baylor Investigation: We Need Another Investigation*

Baylor conducted an internal investigation into the failings of their inititial investigation. The result: "We need to do another investigation."

These clowns are pathetic. Can't wait for Bear to either ignore this bull**** or pretend it's some other school's fault.

Came here to post this. He won't answer and will talk about other schools not doing Baylors job for them. It's pathetic.

Because he was down to UF and BU so I'm sure the journalist inquired if they knew anything. You think staffers called up Bleacher Report per se and just said "we knew all along", unprovoked? You're as naive as Briles expects the public to be.

Why do you fail to acknowledge the staffers comments were in regards to a past incident with his g/f and the articles say as much. It doesn't say explicitly because there is no formal "proof" it happened. All it is, is her claim without an investigation. You and your cronies are starting to act like the Catholic Church; innocence by ignorance.

- Baylor Official Athletic Site

WACO, Texas – Baylor University President and Chancellor Ken Starr released the following statement today, with respect to the university’s internal inquiry and next steps:

“We must guarantee there is no room at Baylor University for those who would perpetrate sexual violence on our campus. I want to thank Jeremy Counseller, Professor of Law and Faculty Athletics Representative, for his judgment and guidance. After reviewing the results of his internal inquiry, I am recommending that our Board of Regents retain the services of outside counsel to investigate thoroughly these matters and recommend continued improvements. The Board plans to announce its selection of outside counsel early next week.[\QOUTE]

You don't open your books until you know they're clean. Always perform an internal audit before allowing external. Then you know what they'll find. If you find nothing then give them free reign. It can only help.

But if you find serious problems. Fix them, self report, anything but actually airing those problems to a third party or possibly public.

I understand why Baylor can't publicly say they screwed up until after the inevitable settlement with the victim.

The fact that you continue to deny it is just pathetic homerism.

i dont see any evidence whatsoever Baylor did anything wrong

just like the media, that is only your characterization of it

It's not a characterization. It's fact. Whether knowingly or not, they harbored a woman-beating rapist. Whether or not you believe there are mitigating circumstances, none of those circumstances are "Baylor didn't harbor a woman-beating rapist."

We kicked our woman-beating transfer out of school. We didn't reduce his victim's scholarship so that she'd leave.

Glass houses, doofus.

Are you sure that's why the scholarship was reduced?

Why didn't you tell us about this:

Oklahoma State was subjected to journalistic witch hunt turned lynch mob that turned out to be a big bag of nothing. And look who authored one of the primary hit pieces: none other than Texas Monthly's little princess Jessica Luther. Why were you sitting on this info, doofus?

What does anything in that article have to do with anything discussed here?

It's his entire MO: see what this other school did? That somehow excuses Baylor's failure.

Baylor is going to wind up making that girl comfortable for the rest of her life and BUBear is still going to be acting like the school is the real victim.

When you post one of these articles, is it too much trouble for you to explain what it has to do with Baylor? More specifically, can you explain how it justifies or excuses Baylor's massive failure?

In the last 12 months, UT, Baylor, & Ababubba each have allowed a football scholarship athlete to transfer in who proved to have a propensity to abuse women. Each should have handled the situation better.

I do not blame Briles for letting the justice system run its course before he decided what to do with SU. SU never played a down for BU, so bamawriter's feigned indignation is a bit dramatic IMHO.

disclaimer/possible conflicts: I bleed orange, married a Baylor grad, & buck fama goes without saying.
