BCS Championship Game Thread

I have no idea why they implemented it into the broadcasts, but wtf is up with this poetry slam garbage? They're splicing it in between snippets of Musberger talking in the segments about #1 vs. #2 and other stuff about the game.

You can defend him all you want and argue against my assertion but you need to chill with the personal attacks. Learn how to state and defend a position without being an A**.
I'd recommend that you don't go reaching for the high road at this point.

Greg Macelroy sucked. They were talking about Bama Being #1 preseason, maybe but they won"t stay there. Somebody will keep it close and beat them. Also btw Saban is a jerk. He just won the championship and still looks like somebody just pissed on him.

I just don't think Texas looked "juiced" at all - with or without Colt.

Well i dont think they really dominate like it doesn't get close, but i do think - just from the way Texas's Def did against bama in the 1st half (and you could say part of the 2nd half) that no freshman QB change and Texas wins at least a likely close one; the kid gave up 5 turnovers, 3 of which led to 21 points...including that big one at half

You used spinal chord injuries and strokes in a joking manner, are you really surprised someone might have taken offense?

No I didn't. I was saying that those are causes for loosing feeling in your arm for an extended period. I was not making light of those. .

Maybe I should not have called McCoy a wuss. OK. Still does not mean KP whatever his name is needs to be so obnoxious and rude.

I still think it looked suspicious and strange.

i think he's more a jerk for running up the score as an attempt for no one to say it was close

Cool. Heart attacks are common causes of death. Even so, if I come upon a decapitated body, I'm going to assume the lack of a head caused the death.

The dude probably damaged his brachial plexus, which isn't as common as you want to pretend. And I love the idea that a guy with the stats Colt had last season came back for his senior year so he could get to the NC game and then sit out to protect his draft status. The man rushed the ball 120 times this season. He's not looking to protect himself.

Look back at my comments and see where I have attacked anyone on this board EVER until this guy started attacking me. I made light of no serious conditions. I am educated enough to know at least some about medical emergencies. I simply stated that McCoys injury looked very suspicious.

I hope he is OK.

I DO think he went out of the game with an injury. I also think he was probably told he could go back in but CHOSE not to. That is just my opinion and I am entitled to it.

...because stating on national TV that you can't feel your arm is a great way to raise your NFL stock.

Playing crappy in his second to last game and then only 5 plays in his last game was all part of his master plan.

where he's going to get hurt most by this is if it does turn out to be worse and the combine physical shows "oh this didnt heal completely / correctly"

You may be right, I may be wrong. There was certainly a mechanism for a dislocation type of injury or a pinched nerve type. One of those at least could have resulted in loss of feeling.

Can a brachial Plexus be detected by xray? They did Xrays and did not say that anything appeared wrong.

What makes me suspicious is that we did not even see him trying to throw a ball or regain feeling.

Why not?

He was shaking his arm after the hit, as if it were already numb. And no, an X-ray would not be helpful for that diagnosis. If there was a fear of a nerve injury, team doctors may have order him not to throw, as it could cause further damage.

Or if it was a slight injury and he injured it further by coming back in.

That is what I trying to say.

If you can't feel your arm and not sure why, are you really going to be flailing it around?

He was in that locker room for a loooong time; like 3 quarters and halftime i think

I imagine all the tests on whether he could feel or even hold or try to throw a football (or regain feeling) were all being done back there during that time

believe me, if they could have gotten him back in the game at all, they would have; they were seeing everything back there

If I had to hazard a guess, he was probably advise to go to a hospital for an MRI, but chose to stay and watch the game.

Maybe because he couldn't? How exactly does one try to regain feeling anyway?
According to Warrior he should have been over behind the bench smashing his hand with a hammer repeatedly until he felt something.

ok, i shouldnt have laughed at that; but i just couldnt stop myself there :lolabove::eek:lol::post-4-1090547912::mf_surrender:

I also believe that First responders, if there is a complaint by the patient of loss of feeling combined with a mechanism, are supposed to immobilize the spine for transport. Why would they not immobilize him if there was serious loss of feeling?
