It's still way to early in the season to worry about the BCS. Several teams will stumble in the next few weeks. Lets just hope its not us!

What does it take to get the BCS scrapped? Having Boise State playing Louisville for the NC?

ah well, to hell with them upity F---ers, the bcs is stupid granted, but let us play from behind, that will help up cause that means we wont get to big of a chip on our sholders, we keep playing well and we go 11-1 and we will be fine,,,,

I think we call all agree that the BCS rankings went a little out of line.

But we just have to worry about winning right now, things will clear up in the end.

It just goes to show how wacky these computer polls are. Cal is somehow ranked 6th in the average computer poll, and UT is 12th.

Meanwhile, undefeated West Virginia is 14th and Texas is 15th.

Interestingly, Ohio State is #3 in the computer polls....

Eh, who cares...

I just wanna beat Bama...

1. USC
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. Florida
5. Auburn
6. Cal
7. Notre Dame
8. Arkansas
9. Rutgers
10. Louisville
11. Boise State

i agree w/ that but if you really think about it the bcs really lost its respect when in 03 lsu played in the nc game beat ok. but yet had to share the nt w/ usc the bcs is garbage plain and simple :zeitung_lesen:

we play better as underdogs :rock:
let em have their stupid polls but if we win out and are still left out then we can get pi$$ed

We are probably ranked behind Cal because we have a pregame prayer and that is a penalty in the BCS. It offended some of the west coast voters.

OK, heres my question....Obviously, i see where were not ranked and behind teams like the Rutgers, Boise and Arkansas but how is this possible? What have they done to prove to the computers that theyre more deserving of a higher ranking or what havent we done?

Anyone?

The sec dont get "Style points", a farce to let crappy pac 10 teams and the chokies points in the bcs by playing la-tech school for the blind and running up 50+points everygame.


I would like to see the sec pull all of its money out of the bcs and start its own playoff.

i echo the above comments, cal??? i wouldbet if they came here now or we went there, we win by 14. if cal, wvu, or nd is playing in sec, 2 losses minimum (and i am a nd fan) same with louisville...as to the others, i would love to see the vols play usc or michigan, osu is the real deal, but can be beat!!! oh well, just hope this gives incentives to the vols come sat. and in the future to rev it up.
i cant be too sad/mad florida and the urban legend got beat!!! i am sure they are crying about the fumble, as much as i cried about the roughing the passer penalty on our pick!!! go vols, slaughter the rest and let the mighty bcs figure it out.

I agree with everyone on what a joke it is having Cal ranked ahead of us. I would imagine we'll read articles and here the commentators talk about how strange this is as well. BUT......I also agree with checkerboard too. I totally see what you're saying, man. There are too many highly ranked teams that play each other that are ahead of us. As long as we keep winning we should be ok in the end. It's never done us any good about bitching about not getting any respect. Usually when we do, we wind up losing and look silly for complaining anyway. Lets not let the BCS get in our heads and distract us from what we are really needing to do here. Lets run the table and leave no doubt in everyones mind that we are deserving!

GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UT wins out and.......Our ace in the hole is---USC. Stop pulling aginst the Trojans. Pull for them to win out, too. After all they play both Cal and Notre Dame.

Fulmer should not have pulled the starters against CAL when it was 35-0.
We should have pounded them 60-0.
