  • Curt & Dave Hart are good friends going back to their shared time at Alabama and due to their relationship Curt was able to secure an interview where I heard he crushed it.
  • Curt Cignetti is currently the Head Coach at IUP where he's gone 17-4 in his first 2 seasons as head coach. Curt is a very good coach and worked under Nick Saban as Alabama's recruiting coordinator laying the groundwork for 2 National Championship winning teams
  • Curt's younger brother Frank Cignetti is the QB coach of the NFL's St Louis Rams and will likely take over as Offensive Coordinator

Many will not like the possiblity of Curt Cignetti as the coach but with his background under Saban & coaching experience I think he may be a steal of a hire.:salute:

Oh my. He might have potential, but I don't know how we can sell recruits on this guy.

I like to think I'm pretty knowledge about college football but even I've never heard of his name.

If he hires another Alabama bloodline I will personally come down to the AD dept, kick him in the nads and yell your fired Dave Hart!

I will staunchly object to any coach that I have to google to figure out who they are. We're better than that.

Oh. My. Lord.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. There is no way we hire that guy.

Just say no to Div II coaches.

How quickly we forget that Chip Kelly was a no name, radical coach from New Hampshire and Malzahn was some high-school loon. Good coaching is at every level. Now, with that said, name recognition is paramount with this hire.

If THIS GUY falls through i would like to submit myself as a backup plan: I have a college degree and would work for 350k a year. Thank you for your consideration Mr. Hart.

My hobbies include hunting, fishing and watching ut football. I feel this makes me qualified.

Absolutely. That's where I was going with that.

350k? I'd coach UT for free.

Anymore budget hires and we'll start smelling burning mattresses in knoxville. The most budget people are semi-willing to accept is a Strong or Fedora. Even with those two fans aren't exactly excited. Yeah OP this isn't going to happen.
