Beer (and beer pics!)

May ride up to Nashville and hit up a brewery or two after I get off work this afternoon. Opinions on some of the better ones to hit up? Pretty familiar with the offerings of each one beer wise, but how about atmosphere and other offerings? I've never really been to any of them.

I'm a Black Abbey fan.

I like their beers, I'll get to the brewery eventually. Ended up at the Preds game. The girlfriends birthday was Monday and the Res Wings were in town, so we did that.

Giving up alcohol for 30 days starting tomorrow for a diet. Yall have fun. I hate you

I did that beginning 12/25. Lost 17 pounds. Not sure what else might have affected the weight loss. Didn't really change anything else major.

I've only had their Ginger Beer and it was pretty bad. Pretty much no ginger at all, just tastes like a sub par lager. Crabbie's or Sprecher were much butter as a ginger beer.

It was like $6, so even if it's terrible it isn't a huge loss. I bought a bottle of Gulden Draak 9000 and the Yuzu New Belgium one as well. Maybe one of those will be good.

I like Crabbie's.

Drinking some White Rajah IPA now. Really good. Helped a buddy bottle and cap some American pale ale he brewed. Needs to rest a week, but liked it even still.

Headed to HopCity in Atlanta on Monday. Also gonna hit up the Porter Beer Bar for lunch. Super excited.

Head to the hop city in the krog Street market. It is an awesome location. They have dozens of craft beers on tap that you can drink on premises and there's some really good food stands in the market.

Anybody have the untapped app? Pretty cool. I'm on the road right now. New beer makes travel awesome, regardless of purpose. Just had Southern Hops'pitality for first time.

My name on there is the same as on here. Most of the regular posters in here use it I think.

Big Muddy Brewery Vanilla Stout. Lots of vanilla, but ultimately tasty.

Tallgrass Brewery Vanilla Bean Buffalo Sweat. Not as much vanilla, better tasting. One of my favorites right now. Normal Buffalo Sweat is a damn good beer, too.

There's a good chance im going to Chicago soon for a few days. Any good beers/breweries I should be aware of? I favor porters/stouts/ales if anybody has anything specific

You could probably go to Goose Island and get some of their Bourbon County stuff in house. They're from Chicago. I think Pipeworks is supposed to have some pretty decent stuff too. Half Acre and Finch's do too, and 3 Floyds is right outside the city in Munster, Indiana.
