Beer (and beer pics!)

Hit Tennessee Brew Works for the shortest brewery tour ever. Then Yazoo for a pint of Helles Bock to celebrate Linus' birthday.

There's a good chance im going to Chicago soon for a few days. Any good beers/breweries I should be aware of? I favor porters/stouts/ales if anybody has anything specific

Go to Beermiscuous. Wish I would have.

It's a coffee house with beer instead of coffee.

I'm not a hop head at all, but I do like IPA's.

That one really surprised me with how quickly the bitterness faded though. It was fantastic.

I think a lot of people, especially those who hate hops, would consider someone who likes IPA to be a hop head. I'm curious as to whom you would consider to be a hop head.

I consider a hop head to be someone who really likes hoppy beers and drinks them regularly.

I don't. I rarely have them.

Got my hands on some good ish this past weekend. Hopsecutioner may be my favorite beer, and Norm's Ragedy Ass IPA was really good.

Hopsecutioner is pretty good. Haven't had Norm's Ragedy Ass IPA.

I did try a few new beers over the weekend. Southern Tier Creme Brulee, Dragon's Milk Reserve with Raspberries, Straight To Ale Velvet Evil, and Founders Blushing Monk.

Did you have to take an insulin shot after the Creme Brulee? Velvet Evil is really solid and Blushing Monk is great. Funny how last time it came out, folks around here were clamoring for it. Now it's sitting on our shelves...

Lol. That Creme Brulee is super sweet, maybe the best smelling beer I've ever had but the taste is just too sweet for me. I really enjoyed the Velvet Evil, I wouldn't mind trying to grab another bottle of it. The Raspberry Dragons Milk was nice I thought but I prefer regular DM. The Blushing Monk I really didn't care for, tasted like a raspberry wine spritzer to me. Hoping to grab some of the Barrel Aged Bigfoot this afternoon.
