Beer (and beer pics!)

I picked a bottle of Deux Rouges and Delicieux for a trade and the Delicieux was $10 for a 12 oz bottle.

Yeah, I had heard Delicieux was supposed to be the same price as at the brewery. I think it was a distributor issue that supposedly was fixed.

Alright cool. Thanks fellas.

Have y'all had it? What do you think? I've yet to try it.

I haven't. The only reason I got it was because a friend was willing to trade me some Olde Hickory Event Horizon. I asked him what he wanted in return and that's what he asked for. I'm just not a huge fan of sours.

I bought a bottle of barrel aged Samichlaus yesterday. May pop in open here in a bit to celebrate the last final ever. Until grad school.

I'm having my 200th beer at the Saucer right. Got talked into getting the Rogue Voodoo Doughnut Lemon Chiffon Crueller. Not too big of a fan.

Food City in Sevierville is the pilot program for the Brew House. They have a 12 tap growler fill station. It's pretyr darn cool.
If anyone is in town I woud recommend you stop and get a fill, because if it goes over here they will be expanding to a Food City near you!

I had a Pink Boots at 12th South Taproom last night. It's a hoppy red ale. Local collaboration between Tennessee Brew Works, Jackalope, and Corsair.

The finish reminded me of another TBW beer, but I can't identify which one.

I tried that at Craft Brewed a few weeks ago. Not bad.

And seeing the Corsair made reminded me that I think I remember one of you guys saying you worked over there. Have you tried the new Grinders Switch Winery they put in? It started here where I'm from so we used to go over to their winery and drink a few bottles on nice days. I'm not a huge wine drinker, but their Blackberry and Raspberry wine is pretty good. Super sweet tho.

I work right above Corsair. You would think I would be down there all the time at their taproom, but alas, I'm usually ready to go home after work.

Haven't heard about the winery.

Gonna be headed to Destin Saturday for a graduation trip, I was thinking about swinging through a brewery on my way down. Any recommendations? We will probably take 65 down for the majority of the way. Breweries or good bottle shops.

Any worth checking out around Destin would be good too.

And if you like wine, I'd at least give it a try when it opens. I'm not a wine fan for the most part, but I'll drink that for a change of pace sometimes.

There is Props brewery in Fort Walton. I have been there once and had a few beers. Also there is 30A brewing in Santa Rosa. 30A you can tour the brewery. Props is a brewery and pub.

If you are looking for food recommendations Dewey Destin is a some good food.
