Beer (and beer pics!)

Was a great beer Christmas without getting a single beer. Daughter got me a French press and a number of ingredients to infuse (toasted coconut, dried papaya, cocoa nibs, etc). The wife got me a mantra mug membership and finally a citizenship in yazoo' state of funk!

We just got the Pinstripe Samoa in-- yes, as in the delicious Girl Scout cookie-- on our growler wall and it almost brings tears of joy to my face . Had to get a growler of it immediately.

Dear God that Double Chocolate Stout was unbelievably good. Also tried the Sixpoint Diesel Stout which was decent IMO.

Anyone had dogfish head 90 ipa? I'm not much of an ipa guy but it tasted as if it was brewed with the tears of angels and pure sunshine with crisp pine cones sprinkled in. Best ipa I've ever had and one of the best beers I've ever had.

Had it last night. Very good.

If you like the 90 min you should give the 60 min a try. I like the 60 min a little better. Dogfish makes some pretty good beers.

I'm going to try it. Apparently they also have a 120 ipa that's supposed to be very good to.

It is but it's only released twice a year. Batches will vary in the 15-20% ABV range and it typically sells for around $10 for a 12 oz bottle. They also release the 75 minute IPA around Christmas which is a blend of the 60 and 90 with maple syrup added.

If it's 15-20% then sign me up!

Which reminds me of a beer a friend gave me called Kentucky pumpkin barrel ale. It was around 10% if I remember correctly and was very very good. Best pumpkin beer I've had. Anyone else had it?

They also have a 61 minute but I didn't care for it too much. It seemed to have a really fruity taste.
