One turnover in the second half, after 10 in the first half. IMO, that was the Stat of the game.

not trying to be that guy but it actually will probably be a pleasant surprise to you. the team had 10 TOTAL turnovers, 9 in the first half and 1 in the second half, even more impressive than 10 in the second half :dance2:

Some of our sets were executed to perfection and we looked like a Keady coached team at times. CCM's brand of ball is going to make us a tough out when are shots aren't falling and an even tougher out when they are!

I'm just glad to us have a team that can actually call half-court plays, that don't consist of always jacking up a long 3.

Its amazing when you consider everything... Our leading scorer can't get one basket from the field, we shoot the worst from the stripe I've ever seen the first 39 minutes of the game, a guy who has under 7 practices on his resume is the best player on the court, and we beat the #11 ranked team... Amazing!

I'll be honest, I for one, did not think Stokes was going to look this good, this early. It's amazing how he absolutely owned the paint yesterday.

That is what stout defense, gameplanning, and in-game coaching can do for you!

exactly. i have no doubt what so ever that this team will be in every game because of their defense. if we can keep the turnovers down to about 10 a game then we will win the vast majority of them. free throws need to improve as well.

He was outstanding. Not just with the points and rebounds, but defensively he was on point. I mentioned after the UGA loss that he would learn from the times he was lazy getting back, and after the very next game he was in position every time down the court against a much better frontcourt. He made Drummonds and Oriakhi look like children out there. He was in control, he slashed to the rim, he got some blocks, he passed out of double teams... He played like a Sr yesterday. I don't think there are 17 players in next years class better than Stokes. If there are... best class ever

i fully expected their post guys, 2 1st round nba picks, to beat us. i never thought that stokes and maymon would be able to whoop them down low, it wasnt even close.

I agree, never did I think we could handle them in the post the way we did. Every aspect of the post we owned, and it wasn't close. There was the one point when Stokes just took over and took them 1-1 and 1-2 and still made it look easy.

the next step is ccm instructing stokes to DEMAND the ball, and telling the guards to feed the beast. with his skill set and ability i think he should be getting atleast 15 shots a game id like to see. of course if they are doubling him then you adjust but use your advantages as much as you can.

That could become a huge advantage for us, if he does get doubled team. He has shown great passing ability, and that would mean once he is doubled, a simple pass to Maymon on the other side of the paint.

I agree. They may make a basketball movie about him one and title it "THE NATURAL". He's playing that good.

i believe that is where ccm sees this going. he talked after the uga game that they had been practicing on opposite teams and going against each other, but that he is going to put them on the same team now because he feels they need to get used to being out there together. the more practices they spend on the same team, expect to see continued improvement between the two.

If you think fans were cheering because Golden was taken out of the game, you are :loco: However, I will give you a reprieve because it's hard to hear in sect. 318...

They were cheering for his play, not because he was taken out!

Guess you didn't have anything else to say.:loco:
