Being on CBS again positive or negative?

This is like talking to an old lady that only wants to talk about how sick she is.

...and I'm supposed to be one of those realistic negavols.

Maybe it doesn't make any difference. No chance its a good thing to go out there and perform terribly in all aspects.

So is it good or bad we are on CBS considering the terrible product that is being put out? Rating prove many more viewers watch the 330 CBS game then for instance a 745 ESPN2 game. Thoughts?

Specifically talking about recruiting or just overall perceptions, like have the terrible records against ranked teams repeated over and over again etc etc.

Question is, will Gary blame the downfall of the GA series on Ainge again? Until we start winning again I will continue to cringe at the intro music for CBS CFB. I associate it with some of the most depressing Saturdays know to man. 👎

Please stop.

Come on man. Richt is very capable of blowing this game. In the past few years he lost games to UK and Vandy, and has lost to an unranked Vols with a ranked team on multiple occasions. With that big win over LSU this one sets up for the upset. So Far CBJ has done exactly what he needs to. This is his time to get that big one.

If you aren't negative about this football team, you are going to have a major blow up, me myself and Irene style, someday.

Does it really matter what network it's on considering the recent history? ESPN, CBS, ABC...it really doesn't seem to matter.

Being on TV is the important although not like the old days. There are 5-6 other games going on in that timeslot.

There is no chance our defense can stop them though. None. This type of upset does not happen. This defense can not cover their guys, at all. They would have to drop 20 passes. Its gonna be big play galore.

Being on CBS still matters. My family in California still txts me during the Vol CBS games because they get the game on their CBS channel in LA.

Oh jeez, amazing people can still convince themselves that we have a snowballs chance in hell to even be in the game. Do people still think we have talent? Its shocking.

Tennessee has talent. Not to the degree of Georgia, Florida, Oregon, or Alabama along their two-deep but there is talent among the Vols starters. The problem is that most of the skill positions are manned by freshmen such as North, (RS) Croom, and Josh Smith on offense and Cam Sutton, Devaun Swafford, and Corey Vereen on D. Let us not forgot that less than a handful of these contributors have 5 career games under their respective belts. Couple this with a talent-laden, albeit, under performing offensive line and the 16th best running back in the nation in Rajion Neal and the Vols have enough talent to hang with the top ranked teams on their schedule for about the first half...and then the lack of depth catches up.

You must have not watched CFB very long if you don't see how this game sets up as a let down game for UGA. I will be surprised if they give C+ effort with Richt at the helm after that huge celebration saturday where they acted like they had already won the national title.

as to your note above, TN lost to Memphis with Peyton manning as the QB - when the better team doesn't play motivated anything can happen.

There is not a good position group on this football. Including the Oline, it may be talented individually, but as a unit, it is soft as Charmin. Its not a bad offensive line, but it is not physical, and it is embarrassing when these guys starts it has and potential draft picks, and then you watch it play.

Memphis had a hell of a lot better defense than we have. I'm tired of the be. This defense is terrible, its not because we are in the SEC, it would be bad if we were in the sun belt. There are multiple FCS teams that we would have major trouble stopping.

I agree that TN D is not good, and UGA's O is very talented. We agree on paper it looks bad. But this game uniquely sets up as UGA not giving their best effort. (did you see Richt and Muray hugging and crying after the LSU game???). Also, With the game being at Neyland (where richt has lost the last 2 times hes played there against a team not coached by Dooley) I think we have a shot.

Well on the up side since it's UGA I won't have to listen to Gary Danielson describe how he wants to tongue bath Florida's DT Easley. On the down side I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to listen to Gary Danielson select one of the UGA players for greatness and to focus on knowing a good tongue bathing discussion will soon follow.

Why didnt you just say you think it shouldn't be on tv instead of using the CBS bait bs?

Here's to hoping Verne Lundquist develops a severe case of laryngitis in the next 24 hours and has to be replaced.

Are you president of the Negavols International club? Probably the best solution is to play all the games in an empty stadium with no fans or media allowed and the only way to find out who won is if you have been issued a secret decoder ring.

Gonna be sheer torture.

Also, I'd put the over/under on them mentioning Tebow, for whatever reason, at 5.

I'd say those odds are on the high side.

But I'd also put the over/under on them mentioning our losses at Florida and Oregon at least a dozen times at 2.5.
