Tooooo much of a liability out there. Missed gimmies... turnovers... missed free throws.

Thanks for your service. Time for AJ Davis to get those minutes.

He'll still be a big part of our rotation... we'll need him to sub for davis and stokes.

Maymon is playing winning basketball

Playing well, making solid contributions. Wouldn't quite say winning basketball.... hit a gimme or 2 that he missed, hit those free throws at the end and I'd agree with you.

Coulda used those 2, heck just 1, of those free throws he bricked at the end...

since you're full of stats... how many turnovers did Maymon have? Atleast 4. Plus he played 35 plus minutes and a&m was laying bricks the first half... someone had to grab those bricks. One postive stat doesn't overcome the other shortcomings of his game.

bench'em.

So we should bench the guy shooting 52% from the field for the guy shooting 38%.......color me confused

I laughed. The bench are FAR worse than the starters basically across the board. This season is trending toward an abject failure and the dropoff will be enormous.

Choked those 2 throws. Otherwise, we really need him. He's helping us and I'm glad he's getting the minutes.

JM just seems a little slow reacting and not as physical and aggressive as he was before the injury. It's just a feeling I get when watching him.

OP just doing the usual "find a scapegoat after a sickening loss", IMO. Human nature.

maymon has a couple of boneheaded plays a game, but he should still get starter minutes.

he would be a lot more effective if we had a coach that knew how to position stokes and maymon instead of the no movement high-low game that a rec league coach can figure out how to stop after a couple of possessions.

Wow. How ridiculous.

This is laughable. He's one of the two leaders on the team.

A "leader" steps up and makes his FT's at crunch time, Alabama, Chris Lofton. Maymon may be a vocal leader but that's about it. Way too many turnovers and if you include the shots he gets blocked he would be averaging about 5 turnovers a game.

First sentence is a doozy to decipher, but if you're suggesting that leaders don't miss FTs, and Chris Lofton is a leader, then you'll remember Lofton missing the front end of a one-and-one vs Ohio St in the waning seconds of the regular season matchup in 2006-07 that led to us losing that game.

I'd be careful making such definitive statements.

Not for the game but he should have been out of the lineup for the last 17 seconds because of his free throw shooting. I would bring in Thompson. I would get my five best free throw shooters on the floor they had no choice but to foul. They were very happy to foul Maymon.

No. It's a shot attempt, a block, and an opportunity for someone to grab the rebound. If they were turnovers, then every missed shot rebounded by the defense would be a turnover.

It's an effective turnover. You can say its not, but it is. Even if the stats record it differently.

Yep, and Forbes gave him a nickname after that game. "Buckeye". Heh. Brutal.
