Bennett eliminates Kentucky

I don't see Stallings as a good coach, by national standards, anyway. SEC, yeah, he's one of the better coaches. That said, he had arguably his best talent during his time at Vandy, was one of two teams that beat UK, but couldn't crack the Sweet 16 this year. I don't see it.

I agree. If you look at his time at Vandy he is average more than good. 13 seasons 4 with losing conf record, 4 at 8-8, 1 at 9-7, and only 4 I would call successful 10-6 (3x) and a 12-4. Stalkings is the kind of guy that can turn a bad thing around ( which he did) but he appears to have a low ceiling.

Very true they're in on a number of highly rated guys, but the OP was making it sound as if the class already had some high level committs. Lots can happen that can change the landscape of recruiting, and can happen fast.

I'm sure calipari will have another good class, but as I touched on earlier he needs to look at things a bit differently. Say r losses hood, Wiltjer, harrow, Noel, poythress and goodwin( don't say it's not possible, it is) then you're right back at square one. Bringing in all freshman with no proven upperclassmen on the team. And when trying to fill out a roster, like he's doing now, you'll have a hard time convincing those second tier guys to come to yor school. Calipari is arguably the best recruiter, I'm sure he'll get it don't, but I don't count a recruiting class as "in the bag" until it actually happens.

It's happening.
