I see Jones bringing his DC from Cincy with him and I'm OK with that. Seems like he did a pretty good job there. A homerun would be a guy like Shannon or Chizik.

My top 4:Shannon. Morris. Chizik. Zook. No particular order. All have pros&slight cons. Thompson&Steele last resorts. This is why we raised 100mil for Gruden! So HE could have an all-star staff! BIG ORANGE BUTCH SHOULD HAVE CARTE BLANCHE ON CHOOSING THE BEST STAFF!!! DON`T FK THIS UP,HART! GO VOLS!

No Lance Thompson, just no. I think CBJ will bring his OC and DC with him, but if not I'd love to see Shannon, Zook or Chief. Dark horse long shot pick would be Manny Diaz from TX if he decides to jump the sinking Brown ship. Diaz would be a force in recruiting this area with ties to the SEC, Texas and Middle Tennessee. Don't think it happens, just shooting the breeze.

I think Zook would be Great hire ! I did not realize he was available ,but i think since he was at Fla as a head coach might go against him ? :unsure:

If Jones brings his OC and DC from Cincy...I'm going to be disappointed. He said in the PC he wanted to put together the best staff possible, and that just isn't the case.

IMO he can bring his entire offensive staff, but to appease us he's going to have to go out and get at least one "star" on defense.

If he doesn't, he will be criticized day 2 IMO.

Who knows wth is going to happen with UT football next year, I just feel too emotional right now on the way things went down. Hopefully I will feel better come spring.

Clearly the DC at Cincinnati is the best DC available. Not Zook, Shannon, Steele, Chizik, Chavis, Morris, etc. The DC at Cincinnati. He's so accomplished that I can't remember his name right now. But it's gonna be awesome.

If he brings his own DC.. Any enthusiasm I had, which was minuscule already, goes out the window.

I'd hire John Jancek over everybody on that list but Randy Shannon. The guy had the 12th scoring defense in the nation, also butch knows his defensive scheme very well. We need his assistants to be the cream of the crop.

I'm not saying he's even a possibility, but if you would take John Jancek over Chavis, we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
