To anyone still grumbling about the "best staff" comment needs to look up the definition of "hyperbole". Butch is good at it and you need to get ovef it.

Not necessarily. The best staff isn't necessarily the guys with the best resumes or a collection of guys considered "elite" at their craft. The best staff is the one he can work with to win championships. There is a chemistry element that none of us get to see that is critical.

Ellis Johnson took a team that won a championship, and went 0-12. 0-12, 0 and mother ****ing 12. You're just high on the other part.

18 sacks all year, 5 by one guy in one game. You call that talent? Every d coordinator would of stunk with the last group.

When did I say we had talent on the defense last year ? for your information I was talking about talent they had at Ga.
so what you are saying with no talent Ellis Johnson went 0-12 but with talent at AU his Def was good ? Martinez and Jancek had talent at UGA and sucked. your the one high.

ellis Johnson never coached at Tn and has nothing to do with Jancek and Martinez at Ga ,by the way UGA never won anything with those two as coaches either. Ga had no problem scoring points they just could not stop anybody from scoring on their D

Cincinnati was the dream job until it wasn't.

Then Colorado was the dream job until it wasn't.

Then Purdue was the dream job until it wasn't.

UT is the dream job until he proves himself and something better comes along.

So he had a press conference at each one of these examples huh? :good!:...So wrong...while still retaining unproductive element :clapping:

How about just sticking with calling them a staff that he trusts.

Hyperbole is a great thing until you can't match it in real life.

Like setting a bowl game as an end goal for your first season.

They still have problems stopping people. Ellis Johnson went 0-12 at USM, a pretty good CSUA program who won a championship against Sumlin the year before...

Rain Man, his record as a head coach has no bearing on his ability as a coordinator. Every year in the NFL a good coordinator gets hired, and another who didn't make it gets fired. Very few succeed. Same at the college level. Cutlcliffe was a successful OC, but he had a miserable record as a HC for years. That only changed the past two seasons. But his record overall, as a HC has been abysmal.

Cutcliffe didn't go 0-12 though. 0-12 is extremely bad.
