2008 was by and large a failure. That was the first year since 2002 that the Pats didn't make the playoffs.

Of course it played a huge role, but I put a lot of blame on Bill Polian for not investing in a good capable back up all those years.

Point taken, and I know Brady is a great qb, but I just do not believe he is better than Manning. Just an opinion, and we all know what those are worth, ha.

Brady>Manning. Why? Rings. 3-1 and 5-2 Appearances in the SB. manning has more individual stats vs Brady having team rings. Would take rings over stats all day.

I honestly think the MVP should go to Peyton and Adrian. Same for the Comeback award. Both of them deserve it and I can't see how you give it to one and not the other.

Peyton is also very good at getting paid, last contract with indy $48m current contract with denver 5yrs for $96m. Not to mention $$$ from pizza and cars. :rock:

This x1000. We are so lucky that he graced us with his presence for four years. No matter how bad things get, we can always say that Peyton Manning and Reggie White played here. They are in my objective opinion the best offensive and defensive players to ever play respectively. Every Vol fan should root for Peyton on Sunday with as much passion as they root for the Vols on Saturday. Anyone who says anything negative about Peyton Manning is a jealous hater, plain and simple.

Truthfully, you have hit upon the best solution. Peyton was co-MVP one year with McNair and it would be a travesty if either Peyton or Peterson failed to receive these awards.

That might be the best option but I think you have to factor in the team Denver already had in place. They were a playoff team last year but Peterson had no one helping him on his team since 2009.

It is really. I mean apparently he is the biggest exception for someone not to be labeled a bandwagoner. Like the last time I checked, you have a team. And just because one person leaves, you don't cancel your fan card. It's unbelievable that people will claim the colts colts colts but the minute Peyton leaves, it's "oh, I never liked the colts, just Peyton." Bunch of bandwagon fans on here.

No Reggie Miller.

Never wavered on being a fan despite being turned onto those teams as kid because of them. I don't even like conversing about sports with bandwagon fans. So many Colts(Peyton) fans talked crap about the Titans and now they're not even Colts fans anymore. So stupid and worst of all, a lot of them will probably just jump from the Broncos in a couple years to their biggest rival, the Chiefs, because of Eric Berry. smh
