Best wishes to Peyton for, hopefully, becoming the first QB to lead two different . .

Tom Brady out for the season..........NE 10-6
Peyton Manning out for the season.........Colts 2-14/3-13

Manning out for year and a half, new team............13-3 and a no. 1 seed

When did this happen? I know he missed the 2011 season. I wasn't aware he missed the last 8 games of the 2010 season.

It is really. I mean apparently he is the biggest exception for someone not to be labeled a bandwagoner. Like the last time I checked, you have a team. And just because one person leaves, you don't cancel your fan card. It's unbelievable that people will claim the colts colts colts but the minute Peyton leaves, it's "oh, I never liked the colts, just Peyton." Bunch of bandwagon fans on here.

No Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio.

No Reggie Miller.

Never wavered on being a fan despite being turned onto those teams as kid because of them. I don't even like conversing about sports with bandwagon fans. So many Colts(Peyton) fans talked crap about the Titans and now they're not even Colts fans anymore. So stupid and worst of all, a lot of them will probably just jump from the Broncos in a couple years to their biggest rival, the Chiefs, because of Eric Berry. smh

Were you guys Oilers fans before they moved to TN?

I don't care for pros hardly. I do root for the titans but that was because our state's pro team. I don't have a reason to cheer for them player-wise. It was a big deal when we got them. You can try to twist this anyway you want to get away from the point we are making. For years people on here were colts fans. Now all of the sudden they piss on the colts and pull for the broncos. You pull for a team not a player. The loyalty is ridiculous.

I don't understand why one is not allowed to cheer for certain players only, especially in pro sports where everything is about the personalities anyway.

Thanks for permission, I will.

Haven't noticed anyone "pissing" on the Colts. I don't.

I wish TN had a Pro team when I was a kid, it would be more fun to have that type of loyalty.

Your argument is as Ridiculous to me as mine is to you.

Would be funny if the Oile...I mean Titans moved back to Texas and The Colts moved to Tn.

These data are six days old and will, undoubtedly, change many times before the proverbial "big game." However, for what they are worth, Vegas offered the following odds on the Super Bowl as of Christmas Eve:

"Las Vegas believes in the Denver Broncos.

The latest odds have been posted and the Broncos are now the favorite to win Super Bowl XLVII according to VegasInsider.com.

Thanks to a 10-game winning streak in which they have outscored their opponents by an average of 13.6 points, the Broncos are listed as 3-to-1 favorites to win it all Feb. 3 in Peyton ManningÂ’s hometown of New Orleans.

The New England Patriots have the next-best odds at 7-to-2 followed by San Francisco (5-1), Atlanta and Seattle (6-1), Houston (7-1), Green Bay (20-1), Mike ShanahanÂ’s Washington Redskins (20-1) and Baltimore (25-1)" (

FTR.

When Peyton retires, if The Tennessee Volunteers haven't produced a Bill Bates, Reggie White, Eric Berry etc. caliber player to enter the NFL...yes, I will be a Kansas City fan.

I also think you need to check the definition of "Bandwagon Fans". Indy was doing so well when Manning joined them and all.

No it's not.

Doesn't really matter anyway, I'm not a Vols "true fan" either.

You just said to F the Pats. It's a team. And show me where they cheated. Spygate? Please. Like that helped them pummel Miami like every other team. Quit being butt hurt of it.

Get out of here Pats fan. Don't be butthurt that your precious Tom Brady is second best to Peyton and always will be. Broncos are the hottest team in the league with a much better defense than NE and an offense that is clicking on all cylinders. Thanks for coming.

And this is a tired argument. If I'm loyal to a player for 15 years how's that different than being loyal to a team? Last time I check there was no pro team in Knoxville.. So why should I be called a bandwagon fan for following Peyton instead? 9/10 of the people who pull this crap argument are Patriots fans anyways.

And that same Colts team minus a lot of guys, with a rookie QB is in the playoffs. It proves nothing. It takes nothing away from Manning to admit how great Tom Brady actually is.

I don't really see the point of changing your team allegiances on a whim. How can you honestly say you are a "fan" of a team if you would change so easily. Obviously you never felt that strongly about it in the first place, so whats the point?

Really? I honestly don't give two poops about the pros. It's college football all day, Vols all day. Peyton is the best representation of the Vols in the NFL, so I'm going to root for him until he retires. Then maybe I'll find another team. Who cares? Why does it hurt your feelings if I prefer to root for a player over a team.

Get over it. I'll root for Peyton over any NFL team, any day. Call me bandwangon, I don't care.

If you don't care about the NFL, then why take advantage of rooting for an NFL team?

Believe it or not, I love Peyton and hope he does well individually. But I have the capacity to cheer for a TEAM and separate that from a player.

I like Eric Berry too. I like Jason Witten. I like Jerod Mayo.

But I love Tennessee. And thats why I root for the team that represents and helps the economy and national profile of Tennessee. I don't root for them to lose to a team representing a state other than Tennessee because one player went to college in Tennessee.

I cheer for the UT Volunteers, I just root for the limbs of that team that can win the big NFL game. I choose peyton at this time.

Most of these guys you think are bandwagoners don't care too much for the team itself so much as Peyton.. so how are they bandwagoners?

It's a completely emotional decision for me; my love for the Volunteers is stronger than any loyalty I have to a pro team. Hence, I cheer strongly for any team that Peyton Manning plays for. While I also support all individual players in the NFL that went to UT, Peyton is different. He is the face of any team he plays for; it is almost impossible to support him without also supporting his entire team because of how important the position of quarterback is to the success of the entire team.
