Better Call Saul

this show is getting ready to get really good. i wouldn't be surprised to see ww or jesse make a cameo somewhere down the line in seasons to come.

I think VG has already said they will at some point and both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have already said they want to.

In fact several people have said they'd like to reprise their roles. I believe Giancarlo Esposito (Gus) is already slated to be back and Bill Burr wants to be back as one of Saul's henchmen. Originally Dean Norris didn't seem interested but seems to have warmed up to the idea.

Burr loved the show and regularly politicked to be cast...his character was supposedly part of Boston's organized crime scene...so it could be fun connecting those dots.

Was great. You can see so much similarity w BB all throughout this show. Can't wait til Monday.

It's a bit disappointing that the ratings have dropped each episode. I think they expected them to drop after the premiere but they've gone from a premiere 6.88 to this past episode got a 2.71.

I think 2.71 is still pretty good for a cable network

So 5 episodes in and 3 pages into this thread is this show worth watching?

Of course I'd post this after the news of the diminishing viewership.

I'm lost. I read the link you posted but it had nothing to do with BCS. It was about NBC Thurs night crapfest. How will it diminish BCS more?

Help me Obi-Wan Butchkobi. You're my only hope.

I thought I had clicked on the Allegiance thread...damn fat finger...BCS is da shiznit. :hi:

It's not going anywhere; 2.7 is still good for a cable show and it's already getting a second season.

If you liked BB, you'll definitely like BCS.

Didn't realize until I watched the Saturday Night Live 49 yr anniversary special but Saul was a writer in SNL

The scene between Mike and his daughter in law where he confessed was compelling television. His guilt for debasing his noble son came through the tv in buckets.

Great to see Mike's character become more 3 dimensional. Writers gave him more depth than a simple "cleaner" or "the fixer" in an episode where he cleaned / fixes the dirty cops who killed his son.

That hardened character we met in BB that only melts for his beloved granddaughter is easier to understand now. Was I the only one that thought the woman was an estranged daughter? The greatness of Breaking Bad (and other shows) is that it doesn't explain everything...maybe a secondary (or primary?) basis for BCS is to fill in some of those holes in a non forced fashion. Very interested in the back stories of Saul's two henchmen.

I also thought she was an estranged daughter. The weird look when she pulled into her driveway while Mike was parked in the street gave it that type of vibe for me. I kinda hate it that the creative team behind BB and BCS make me care so much for corrupted characters.

...but not enough to stop watching. :)

Just watched this week's episode. THAT was some quality television. The writers went to a whole new level with the back story on Mike.

I'll brave it myself. :wink2:

I just watched this episode awhile ago. It was an amazing episode that explained Mike's background. It made my manly emotions flare up.

Brilliant episode last night...Mike likes him some baseball.
