Better Call Saul

So I'm guessing with what happened this last episode, it's safe to say Chuck is why Jimmy didn't get offered a job back when he passed the bar. He's hated the one guy so long and he probably has been taking the heat for Chuck all this time.

Seems that way. Chuck has a fair argument when he brings up Jimmy always looking for shortcuts, though.

Maybe but sabotaging him is hardly the best way to deal with it, and honestly makes him no better if not worse because he went behind his back and did it after Jimmy had established he was actually working hard.

Chuck did it all out of petty resentment.

Saul took the easy way out per usual but it turns out he's a really good lawyer, that fact chaps his brothers ass and makes him resentful. This show is so good. Vince is a genius.

I can't believe the season is already over next week. I guess I should be happy though, the first season of BB only had 7 episodes.

I absolutely love this show so far, but it is a very distant second place compared to BB.

Only because you know about BB in its entirety. This first season of BCS is just as good as the first season of BB, imo.

I said the same earlier, if you look back at most critics reviews of BB's first season it wasn't like anyone thought it was going to be one of the greatest shows ever.

The season finale will be epic, but in season 2 I want to see Jimmy and Chuck go head to head in the court room.

I actually stopped watching BB after the first 3 episodes. Then about a month later I binge watched the entire series. I really enjoy Better call Saul. Maybe it's because I don't constantly compare the 2.

For some reason I didn't realize that last night's episode was the season finale. I thought there was one more.

I was kinda distracted while watching but the finale seemed like a throw-away episode at first blush. But I suppose it is necessary to explain what caused "slipping Jimmy" to return to form and begin the transformation into Saul.

One of the things that irks me is pulling for Jimmy to get his due and win a bunch of money in these lawsuits. Or win some huge courtcase on his own. But, I don't remember him being portrayed in BB as a formerly successful attorney. He was just a slimeball attorney who knew how to play the game. Maybe i'm misremembering.

In summary, I absolutely loved this show and was shocked by just how much I liked it. I was expecting much less but was hooked by the time the jury found those two boys guilty of molesting the corpse in the first few minutes of episode one. Classic opening to a great show.

I'll say I was a bit disappointed with the finale. It wasn't bad but did feel kind of more filler than finale.
