Yeah, what if he is a good coach? He has a good record. Because it ain't a splash hire doesn't mean it won't turn out to be a good one.

BP is our only hope. Give the poor ole boy another chance! Have mercy on the heathen's soul. Sell some corn dogs, eat at Calhoun's, pump yo' gas at Pilot, go out West and smoke that weed, do what you want, but above all else, practice what you preach and show that you know what "forgiveness" means. Come on, Bobby. We'll even get you a new neck brace. The preceding message was brought to you by Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon. And it is good.

I'm all in for the weed there woody

If Jones is hired I will not visit Neyland, period! This is a nightmare! If true Hart must go!

This is sarcasm. Trying to mock all the gloom and doom vols! Relax things will be OK.

because the next several years are not going to be for the weak of heart or mind

Save yourselves the pain and anguish now

Soon, other teams will say " We might turn out to be the Tennessee of the SEC" and not in the good way

This ship might just be at the bottom now

Can common fans organize with the big boosters now to pull the coup d'Ă©tat? I sure hope so.

Hart has to go and Cheek should go with him.

Getting rid of Hart and Cheek would be a good 1st step in the right direction.

Our big money boosters need to get up off more $$$$ so we can go offer $5 Million per year and get a really good coach that's also PROVEN he can recruit against the best recruiters in the country.

The SEC is getting tougher every year and our Vols need to get top recruits every year or we're never going to get back on top again.

What morons put gaturds and bammers in charge of Tennessee?

VFL...GBO!!!

The good thing is, we might lose a decade old bandwagon fans in this process and end up with just the real VOLS!

When I was 8 years old, I stood in front of a TV and watched Phillip Fulmer hoist the AFCA National Championship Trophy while my mom and dad (both UT alumni) celebrated in the background. It was during that moment that I knew in my heart that I would always love Tennessee. I stand by my decision that day. No matter how bad things may get, I will always love the vols. They are my team. They are a part of my life. I will ALWAYS LOVE THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS.

Go. Big. Orange.

Went through the Bill Battle year's. Getting beat by North Texas State. Not ready to for the Vol to be the door mat of the SEC again. Always will be a Vol fan but they hire Butcher Jones or Charlie Strong they will be the laughing stock of the SEC.

Gtfo, I don't care if we hired Barney the dinosaur I'm a Vol and always will be. Our players didn't ask for this horrible administration. They need support and if you want another team there are plenty of bandwagons to jump on.

Its just some good old advise for people who may not be able to handle the rocky road on Rocky Top

Much easier on them and for the ones like me who will stick around no matter what

Recruiting is our life blood

If he cant recruit, we die

60. Colorado 14 Pac-12 869 0 0 0 7 10 4 0 14 0 2.50
61. Kentucky 14 SEC 866 0 0 1 6 9 4 1 14 0 2.57
62. Cincinnati 16 Big East 865 0 0 0 6 10 6 0 16 0 2.38

* Rankings as of 12/7/2012 11:00 AM ET

He has 6, count them 6 3* recruits. We are in for happy times. Last year he was 34th in the nation. As a side note they (Cincy) probably have more respect and name recognition than Tenn.:furious3:

Get off the ledge guys. I have lived in the Cincinnati area since 1987 and know of the Bearcats football program. Butch Jones might not have been the sexy hire, but he is a solid coach with a winning record (unlike our last two hires). Given him a chance and I think you will be surprised.
