Better find you a new team

If you had been around longer, you would know that I am probably one of the most optimistic posters on the site

They called me a sunshine pumper for a reason

Nothing to pump right now. Jury is still out

Count has been one of the most positive posters on this site through the years. He has given the benefit of the doubt multiple times. I know we've had our battles about differing opinions, but he's a tremendous poster here and calling him otherwise isn't logical.

I hate to say that on this one, we both share the same feeling. I don't even have the energy to be mad anymore, just a shrug of the shoulders and try to find something else to make me feel better.

When I was 8 years old, I stood in front of a TV and watched Phillip Fulmer hoist the AFCA National Championship Trophy while my mom and dad (both UT alumni) celebrated in the background. It was during that moment that I knew in my heart that I would always love Tennessee. I stand by my decision that day. No matter how bad things may get, I will always love the vols. They are my team. They are a part of my life. I will ALWAYS LOVE THE TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS.

Yes...if you are changing teams or schools, u are not a real fan..so please, those that feel that way, go away already, and please hurry

Sorry as an alum, will not drop team. Lived through the 1975-1978 lean years and the 0-6 season start. Boy if this place was around then you guys would have slit your wrists....

This^^^I started fandom in 77. 99% of this forum would have been cliff jumpers then.

because the next several years are not going to be for the weak of heart or mind

I would love nothing more than to "find a new team," as fair weather fans can do. But I can't. Some of us were born and raised in Big Orange Country. This team is in our blood. We're going to feel its up and downs, whether we like it or not. We cannot sever our love for this team any more than we can change our blood relatives. We can complain about coaches, administrators, referees, and even players, but switch sides? Not going to happen.

Enjoy the sunshine of some other team's glory.

Would be a boring place if we all agreed, all the time

because the next several years are not going to be for the weak of heart or mind

Save yourselves the pain and anguish now

Soon, other teams will say " We might turn out to be the Tennessee of the SEC" and not in the good way

This ship might just be at the bottom now

I've already got my teams. The Vols and whoever is playing Notre Dame.:thumbsup:
GO VOLS!

I love Tennessee too, but it's not being run by Tennessee people and I don't feel the best decisions are being made for the university. Thus, we end up 4th choice for a football coach. This program is no better off today then it was yesterday. You can love the Tennessee Volunteers and still be fed up with the way things are being run. That's the problem...

I respect your love & passion for UT. I agree with everyones frustration with the Universitys decisions.
But I have to say lets embrace our new coach, lets hope & see that he has what it takes & can change the program to a winning establishment:rock: td:

It's bottomed out. Only way now is up. I support this coach 100 percent for the next 3 years. Just dont get anyone that can bash Tennessee now and be a fan. This hire cant be changed so join in.

I really am at a loss for why people actually feel the need to make these types of threads. If you feel that way about it, why do you support the Vols anyway? Shove off with the negativity. Keep that crap to yourself. Let the fans of this football team be fans of the freakin football team no matter who the coach is. If they kept Dooley for another year I wouldn't have made such a poor thread as this.

I don't disagree with you at all--if you read other places where I have posted today--I WANT HART AND CHEEK GONE--and I WANT FULMER to be the new AD....

Coach Jones spoke of the Tennessee Brand--well--CPF established the Tennessee Brand for the last 20 years--and outsiders have ruined it! I want ORANGE BLOOD in the program...Cheek has to go....HART has to go....

BUT--I like Jones' presser and I am in his corner BECAUSE he is OUR COACH....and I say GO VOLS! Go out there and reel in some recruits and get us back to a national power again....We ain't that far away....:salute:
