Better SEC

Alabama loses to Seton Hall. It would behoove the league to start winning some of these tossup games.

Alabama took 9 free throws, Seton Hall took 30 and Alabama lost by 5.

Vanderbilt took 7 free throws. West Virginia took 24. Stallings was given a technical foul early complaining about the lopsided refs, and the refs threw out 2 Vanderbilt fans who were sick of the way in which the refs favored the other team.

Tim Donaghy is not the only one out there...

Oh and Auburn just sucks.

Minnesota beating UNC because I believe UNC will be good really hurts my arguments about the Big 10. So far the Big 10 looks like the best conference and it is not that close.

To the surprise of many, free throw disparity isn't always attributed to poor officiating. Perhaps a teams softness and determination to get to the line actually plays a part in games. Just sayin'....

And Auburn is a 3 1/2 point underdog against Campbell. My God.

Especially a team like Vanderbilt. They have a bunch of shooters (Jenkins/Tinsley/another guy I forgot) and Taylor's the only one who gets into the lane. Also Vandy doesn't have any post up big men that can get to the line. Huggins like athletic players who can attack the basket and get to the line.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Jump shooting, soft teams will always shoot fewer free throws than a driving team.

Georgia 61 St. Louis 59. When a win over a team who lost their two best players is the highlight of the evening, it's not a good night for the league.

iowa is horrific.

campbell??? seriously?

i don't think dayton over ole miss is that big of an upset. and honestly, Georgia has been overhyped. they aren't great esp without thompkins.

but an abysmal night for the SEC. This season to date hasn't been great for the SEC.

Who's bright idea was it for Auburn to schedule a game on Friday/Saturday/Sunday? Losing to Samford, Campbell, and MTSU in a 3 day stretch is maybe the most embarrasing streak in SEC basketball history if they cap it off tomorrow. They do have good news, Georgia Southwestern comes to town in a few weeks. I'll make a bold prediction and give Auburn the "W".

Edit: Nevermind, it was the Global Hoops Showcase. I was just too lazy to look up the schedule beforehand.

Dayton's good, but if Ole Miss wants to have a shot at an NCAA bid they have to win that game at home.
