Yes, I do believe in Free Will. You can choose to do whatever you want. God gives us the right to make choices. Sometimes, those choices will have punishment. You can do whatever you want in life (free will) but if it's not the will of God you won't be blessed.

I know I am in the will of God. Music is my life. I lead worship at my church, and I am blessed doing it. I know this is what God has put me on this earth to do. So I can say that I am in his Will. I ran from it for a long time, and I was so miserable. I couldn't sleep at night, couldn't eat, couldn't do much of anything. I ran, and ran, and ran until one day I finally surrendered myself to him. I answered his calling for my life. I'm not going to judge your opinons as they are yours. Your calling on this earth is up to you to figure out.

Agree with the first part!

Amazing testimony on the second part!

You don't believe in Free Will?

Are you a tulip person?

it's only free will when it's bad. When it's a good thing it's "God's will".

You can do whatever you want in life (free will) but if it's not the will of God you won't be blessed.

then by that very definition God gave you a gift you can't fully use. Not really free will at that point

That was one of em mentioned earlier. Here is another one for you:

My best friend of 14 years was a teenage alcoholic and a drug addict. I hated the life he was living and tried for 3 years to let him know that what he was doing was going to kill him. I witnessed to him, but he wouldnt listen. He wanted to "live it up" as they say. He got to the point where he was high all the time, he didn't have a job, and his family pretty much abandoned him. He was at his lowest point. He tried many time to commit suicide, but was unsuccesful. Why? you might ask. I know for a fact it was God. God had a plan for this young man, and knew what kind of testimony he would have. 2 years constant I was in prayer for my best friend, I worried about him day in and day out. Last year he was driving home from a bar at about 2 am in the morning. He was high and drunk. He was going about 70 mph and overcorrected on a curve, and went over a cliff and his car was wrapped around a tree. He have about a 5% chance of living. He was in a coma for 2 months, lost the use of his right arm, and had to have numerous stitches and pins placed in his legs, back, and hip. The doctors said he would never walk again. My point in all this. God could have pulled the plug on him. He wasn't living the life that God wanted, so he could have let him die that night. My friend now is walking, and had surrendered his life to God. He has such a poweful testimoney and ministry. I have seen 45 people come to accept christ though his story. God has a purpose and a plan for everything. I know God allowed that accident that night, and it took that to wake him up. He is now living an alcohol and drug free life. This is just a condensed version of the whole thing. Its an amazing testimony and story, that I am so blessed to have witnessed and been a part of.

I really disagree with many parts of your views. God did not allow the accident or cause it, your drunk friend with a brain that has slower reaction times due to alcohol caused it.

God could have stopped it my friend. God controls ALL. He allowed it to happen to wake him up. It essentially caused him a lot of pain, but he now serves God and is living his life sharing his story and helping change the ways of many kids that are going down the road, or already on the road he was.

Yes, God could have, but did not. He could control all but does not. He sets rules in place that have consequences, the rest is up to us. This idea God proactively controls every manuever I do not buy. You going to give me some great thoughts on how kids getting Cancer helps someone, that is God's plan? I doubt it is, more likely God set up some laws of nature and crap happens.

No one knows the mind of God. There is no way I could even explain to you why kid's get cancer. There is a plan and a purpose for EVERYTHING. If you had a kid with cancer you would probably understand it better, but assuuming you don't then you can't say it does or doesn't help someone.

ridiculous. Saying there's a purpose for a child getting cancer? I guess God also has a purpose for the kids getting raped/murdered, genocide in Africa, things like the holocaust, etc.

You can't say God guides everything but only key on the good points as examples. If God exists then he set the world in motion and lets us deal with the consequences in the afterlife. Either that or he's a mean sob

God I believe does have a macro plan, but not a micro plan for everyone's day to day life. No, some kid getting cancer I find hard to believe helps anyone and am confident God has nothing to do with it. My associate interim pastor gave a great sermon on this a few weeks ago. She was a nurse and decided to pursue a life in the ministry due to this very line of thinking you are proposing. She was working the ER when a kid came in with a head trauma. He was on a church outing, and was on a hay ride. Kid decides to jump off the wagon, slips, lands on his head and ends up in the hospital, dies that day. Anyway, the whole church group is there waiting of course and when the news hits, she hears these adults telling these kids "it was God's plan" blah blah blah...Anyway, she thought these adults were completely wrong and it made her examine her faith. I agreed with her sermon, God is about life not death. We are mortal beings, subject to nature, physics, etc...it was not God's plan for that kid to slip and fall on his head. He just paid a price for an accident, happens every day and I don't see God's hand in it.

1.) Keep it simple.........

2.) As for drugs, alcohol etc... every one would agree those are temptations?

Who tempts us?

The enemy tempts us. Satan wants nothing more for use to fail and perish in hell. For you UTVOLPJ listen to this http://www.harvesttn.com/search_results.asp Cheryl Vincent lost her 7 year old child to lupus...listen to her POWERFUL testimony and your mindset will change my friend.

so 1 example vs the millions I just provided? Not gonna do a whole lot for me. I've seen too much for anyone to ever convince me God currently guides anything that happens on this planet

What the problem with you listening to it. Change your warped mindset, and listen to this testimony. You don't have to, but I can assure you it will not only touch you, but possibly change the way you view this issue. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?

Warped mindset? Really?

It may be touching but will prove nothing.

It was God's plan for PJ not to see it.

That's up to you my friend. I am not degrading you, or downsizing your opinions. You do have a lot to learn in this life. God controls all. That's not just some things, but ALL. You cant even begin to comprehend the reasons things happen, thats why he is God. No one knows the mind of God. There is so much to be revealed. Why does God let kids have cancer? I dont know that? Maybe you can ask him one day, if you get the chance.

So you honestly believe that God afflicts people with disease?

So God forces people to walk past someone and get an infection?

NO....It was SATAN'S plan for PJ not to see it. Well as we all know, Satan sucks and is a loser. So you have the information now. Again, it's up to you to watch.
