Saw Reagan at LSU in 1989, wasn't as sharp as pre-1980 Reagan by today's standards very sharp. The biggest problem he had is he allowed the Bush family to take over in the mid-80s. No real issue with Reagan other than the Bush family, he did a great job.

I think the key issue is that the establishment (notably media) hate Trump. If the establishment hates you, you must be doing something right.
