Biden wants 3 month mandate on Masks

Some have made significant contributions. Without a doubt the US set the standards to make us the most successful country during the last 250 years that almost all other civilized countries try to emulate. We did not get to this position by luck. By saying we are one of the most successful countries in the world is a testament to US citizens who make the country what it has been and what it is today. Hopefully we can hold on to the standard but it’s not very promising with the political climate the Far Left has created since 2016.

So we're great because.... we're great? Gotcha. What specifically are our peers trying to emulate?

And opportunity. There is more opportunity and options for our citizens than any other country.

Good point. Even as subjective as it is, seems like a solid place to say the US is exceptional.

I just saw this a few minutes ago. I’m all for masks inside brick and mortar establishments and confined crowded-outdoor areas but a 100% National mandate on all outside activity to me seems asinine and an overreach. What say you ?
They’re largely ineffective so it’s certainly crazy. I won’t say there no benefit but they won’t stop the spread.

I’m not. Clearly by your answer you also believe America is clearly the best

Define "best".

Is being the best what makes 'murica exceptional?

bfd. How big of a deal is it to wear the mask when buying your Totinos Pizza Rolls at Kroger?

The number of suburban white men screeching about the prospect of having to temporarily wear a piece of cloth over their faces is fascinating and hilarious.

The irony is that the lack of a clear, consistent message from the dotard in chief in an attempt to downplay and brush aside the infectiousness of covid will be his downfall. Irrespective of how deadly it is, the prolonging of having no strategy to short circuit the disease on a federal level is astonishing. American exceptionalism? LOL, we're the laughing stock of the world.
Yeah, I think not. This was from a few days ago now but it shows we aren’t nearly as bad as the Dems and MSM seem to wish we were.

But now I'm wondering how that would be qualified and quantified. What kind of opportunity? Economic growth? Social or educational growth opportunity?

Which part of my post triggered you into posting those screenshots?
Ah, so a response is considered being “triggered”. Interesting. Given your number of posts you must be triggered constantly. The point is simple. You act like we have handled this horribly. There are certainly things that could have been handled better but it’s a virus. To think we were ever going to truly control it is ludicrous. I simply showed you that our response is pretty much on par with a comparable population size.

There are thousand of examples but I’m playing your little game. You are aware of many examples(I hope).

Move on dude, your inability to answer a simple question that is open to subjectivity is about as kiddie table as it comes.

I'm not sure it can be mandated. Would have to look into that.

But its tough to articulate exactly what is meant here by the campaign because its weak to say you want there to be "nationally encouraged mask wearing." That's where Trump f'ed up. By his words and actions, his lack of leadership, he discouraged it in some instances. But I get it, its hard to draw a dramatic comparison between Trump's silence on the issue and how much you as POTUS would acitvely encourage people to do it.

Ironically, you have a certain segment of the population that does not wear them now in some sort of odd show of solidarity with Trump despite knowing its a bad idea to go maskless. If Biden wins, some portion of the population will go maskless IN SPITE of knowing better, just because they think its antagonizing to the Dems. And each person that does that for that reason is a moron.
In "your" opinion

I didn't say you were triggered, I asked what triggered your need to post that.

me either - have you heard the rumor that prolonged mask wearing causes tooth decay ?
I discussed this with one of my best friends, an excellent dentist in town. Yes, it is being referred to as "mask mouth." People have a tendency to mouth breathe while wearing a mask, which dries out the oral mucosa. Also, bacteria build up around the mouth/under the mask. This combination leads to more tooth decay.

There is also the risk for more skin infections, impetigo, and acne due to the occlusive nature of cloth masks.

Well here you go. The invention of the airplane, the Constitution, ( brilliant to this day), automobile, job corps, etc, internet. Lol, Satisfied ? I read of a few of your posts on different topics today and we are 99.9% in agreement on most. Not sure why you became a child in discussing US exceptionalism.

I’ve watched and read reports where they are much more than ineffective but of course there is no 100% guarantee.
There’s a lot of info out there going both ways. I trust that if there was no doubt of their effectiveness then nearly everyone would’ve been on the same page. There’s always dissenters but not this many and some are in healthcare. Then you look at the rules that make absolutely no sense, how both sides have made this a political issue, and the fact that no one seems to be able to tell how exactly it spreads 6 months into this and it leads to a lot of skepticism. As I’ve posted on here before, Duke’s football team went from 2 to 30 cases doing everything possible including masks. The masks are more for the feeling of safety imo, not to actually stop the spread. I know others disagree but that’s the way I see it.

That absolutely ridiculous.... my decision to wear or not wear a mask has nothing to do with the president of the United states
