Big 10 Championship ( #1 Oregon vs #3 Penn State)

Because they want Bama in.

It is what it is. I mean Bama is the better team, but punishing SMU for playing and rewarding Bama for sitting on the couch just isn’t right.
There would be a huge backlash if they did that. May even be some lawsuits.

Yeah I think this is probably correct

They could take the opportunity to move PSU below OSU since OSU beat PSU at PSU. They may also try to avoid a B1G match up in the first round by swapping PSU and Texas.

Is TN verses OSU a better than TX verses OSU? I know they would probably like to keep the Notre Dame and Bama match up but I don't believe Bama will stay at 12 if Clemson wins - I think Clemson will be 12 as they will be ranked outside of the top 12 and the last conference in, which implies Bama will be at least 11 and play Texas if Texas is 6. That then leads to both and SEC and B1G matchup which I think they will try to avoid.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see PSU and Texas sitting at 5 & 6.

If Bama stays in, they will be at least #11. Clemson is not going to jump into the top 12 for the rankings - so if they win, they will take the #12 slot.

For Bama to be removed, they must drop to the #12 ranking and SMU be at # 11.

No. Clemson would get an auto bid and bye.

What’s really crazy is if Penn State finds a way to win this they will likely be the top overall seed.
