Big Brother 17

James nominated Clay and Shelli. Then he won the PoV. Clay is now white knighting for Shelli telling others to vote him out.

The awesome thing about all this

my wife didn't believe James would put them up after making the deal. I was like hell yeah he will.

If he wants to guarantee Shelli goes home, he should take Clay off the block and put up Van or one of the twins. I think Austin and the twins would stay loyal to Van, which would mean Shelli go bye bye.

Not sending Clay hope would be a dumb decision. Everyone seems to like him, and he is still the bigger threat moving forward IMO

I hope VolWindy is happy with this page, even though she won't know what this says lol

Clay's won one Veto. Shelli's won 2 HoH's. I think she's far more of a threat than Clay. If I'm James, I'm gunning for Shelli. She's a better game player than Clay.

If an alliance gets too big, it will invariably fall apart because people have to betray each other leading to total implosion. When there are issues like this one with Austin, you have to take the chance to thin your own herd. All of your allies will still trust you after you do one of your own. That's hard to come by. Take the opportunity.

So at first glance, considering how pissed and out for blood the house is, it looks like I was 100% on point, but not to pat myself on the back too hard....

.....if Vanessa sends Austin home last week, then who does James go after? It's more than likely it would still be Clelly (I hate myself for typing that). Vanessa got to keep Austin and probably gets the same result this week. She still needs to build back trust with the house, but she has time to. She got really lucky and it maybe all will work out in her favor. We'll see how it all plays out.

yeah, watching Clay try to talk James into using the veto on one of them last night was funny as hell. all he could offer was his word and everyone knows that no one's word means dick in that house.

Last week made sense to send home Jason if you were in Vanessa's shoes. Liz is the pivot of two votes. She has Austin and she has her sister. She didn't want Austin to go home. So now Vanessa has Austin and the twins on her side, as well as her side thing with Steve. If veto is not used, then one of Clay or Shelli are going home, and the other will be gunning for the other side. So that's another possible vote. That leaves JMac and Becky as floaters, with the other side being James, Jackie, and Meg. James can't win HoH, so after Thursday's eviction, that would be time to gun for him if you're on Vanessa's side and win HoH. Put up James and Meg. Worst case scenario is Jackie wins veto and has to choose one to pull down. You should still have the votes to take down the other.

If either Jackie or Meg win, they should put up Vanessa and whoever survives this next vote(Clay/Shelli). It's the same thought process used to eliminate Jason. Strike off the head. Most think the twins an obvious target, but if I were playing, I'd save them until after I eliminated more strategic targets.

FTR, my favorite character is JMac, but I like to see the different sides of the house play strategically more than I root for a particular player.

James would have to be an idiot to trust them. It would be a stupid game move. Unfortunately for him and his alliance, I think they waited til too late to start trying to make moves in the game, and it's going to cost them, imo.

Is J-Mac everybody's favorite at this point?

J-Mac
James
Vanessa
Twins
Meg (she's not really cool, but just being nice and generally cheerful goes a long way with me)

I usually only like 1 or 2 people, so this is a pretty good season as far as likability goes.

She did make the right game move of sending Jason home, just not the right way to go about it.

Exactly. He would have to be an idiot to think that they would really be on his side after this week. These deals that are always offered up do tend to be ridiculous anyway. Clay trying to get him to put up Steve for no real reason was laughable. It's funny to me that they still think he is related to Ian. Like that matters somehow if he is.

He's been my favorite since the beginning.
