Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

No discussion about Sasquatch, Forrest People, Yeti, or Chupacabra is complete without a reference to the Hairy Black Things from Hollow Springs. Worth a trip to Cannon County to check out.

Middle Tennessee

Ok - I somewhat have my bearing now. I can only assume that this Springs area is somewhere near McMinnville or Manchester. I say that because it has been my experience that sightings run parallel to geographic boundaries and mountain ranges if you will. If these guys can cover 100 miles + in a day - give or take - and multiple sighting in Crossville, Cookeville, Sparta, Clinton, Jellico, Oak Ridge --- it is basically the same range or series of ranges that run north of Chattanooga and Knoxville. I would think as a starting point - yes they should be in an area like this. Springs describes to me a good water source and it's a thinly populated county - 13,000 people and with a water source and few people you probably have forested areas and plentiful wildlife.

Now what's the story behind or about the black somethings in that area?

And what are these "Hairy Black Things" suppose to be? I grew up in DeKalb County, not far from the Cannon County line, and have never heard of them.

Cannon County is in between McMinnville and Murfreesboro. There is a little mountain range called Short Mountain in Cannon Co, plus a large wildlife area in Pea Ridge. Lot's of dope grown in that area.

We just had a sighting here. Peter Pender arkansas. Cow country. They are having a meeting over it today in a near by town.

maybe it will come a little farther North, and I can shoot it, and put an end to the debate between existing or not

I'm thinking about watching "The Waterhorse" on Netflix. It's billed as a kids movie, but what it really is is a cleverly disguised documentary on the origin of the Loch Ness Monster.

After that, I think I'll watch "Harry and the Hendersons".

70 sightings in 106 years? Do they live underground and only venture out every so often?

70 separate sighting in one little tiny town on the edge of the ozarks. They are not fond of being seen. Imagine them as a clan of special forces who have been traing on operating covertly since birth. Their main missions - provide food for the clan and don't be seen.

Do you carry a weapon when searching? If so would you take one down if it charged you?

Ok. That doesn't answer my question though.

I do not - a couple friends I've been out with have been armed but that has always been for protection against hogs, etc. The forest people are quite different from us in some respects - and are mostly peaceful and try to stay clear of humans. These are a people so you wouldn't want to shoot one and again it would be like shooting at one of a group of 20 invisible 1000 lb special ops soldiers - you likely wouldn't get very far before you were taken out by the rest of the clan.

There's been 350 sightings statewide. I wish I could have went to the meeting yesterday.

I fighting double ear infection and the crap that comes along with it.

Faulks Arkansas has had 70 plus sightings since 1908 - right on the edge of the ozarks.

The Ozarks hide a lot of mysteries from the world. This particular sighting was between ozark arkansas and ft smith arkansas.

I don't think you can equate, Sasquatch to a Special Forces soldier

Sasquatch if they exist are an animal, and just like how most animals are seen and found, if they exist they will be found

Given the explosion in population and growth, if they were around they would be foraging for food, in dumpsters like raccoons and bears
