I don't personally believe in Bigfoot, but I still think it's fun to read about the myths, legends and stories from those who do believe.
It seems we have two different types of posters: those who don't believe and want to mock the mere idea of any discussion, and those who like to actually discuss details about the information out there on Bigfoot.
Maybe this thread should be for debating the existence of Bigfoot and we have another thread for those who are interested in respectfully talking about specific information that exists on the subject.
Just a thought. :hi:
Again, I don't have a problem with discussing it, but what constitutes actual honest discussion? I'm generally interested in things like this but I'm also about as big of a skeptic as you'll find.
Actual discussion would involve providing skepticism and data that might contradict the other side. And that has gone on here, but as I alluded to earlier, that hasn't exactly been met with open arms. I can admit the mocking and joking went far, but as I said, some of that is in response to the pooh-poohing of skeptical views and outright ridiculous "logic" put forth.
This has been going on a while, but at point people were complaining that those who were dissecting claims were basically raining on the parade. That is why I said they wanted to have it both ways, essentially post whatever they felt but not for anything to break down what they post. And I'm sorry but if you post AS FACT some of the things that have been posted but get upset when some point out how completely illogical the claims are, then I'm not sure why you bother posting it at all.
