Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

The same story is tossed around in Dickson County about Werewolf Springs or halls cemetery area. The same exact story about a circus train that derailed. The funny part about the story, is that Montgomery Bell was riding down the hall Cemetery Road and it is in his journals that something was running up behind him. It was an animal and stalking him for a few miles while his driver was operating the carriage. Interesting story if you want to look it up.

I was unaware of that. And thank you, I'll read up on that.

My grandfather was chased by something one night while on horseback. He and my grandmother were just dating at the time and he had just left her home.

My grandfather was as tough as they come and it scared the hell out of him.

Can someone show us all where FF has ever said something was a 100% undisputed fact? Maybe I missed it, but I have never seen the word fact in any of his comments on this thread. I actually always see him saying things like " from personal experience", or "in my opinion".

Personally, I doubt bigfoot is real. It would take me seeing one with my own eyes, or the government or scientific world to acknowledge their existence before I truly believed. I want to believe though. I truly hope they're real. I think it would be awesome.

I am fascinated by all things bigfoot, and I like to read about the subject, watch videos, exchange tall tales, etc. FF is a true believer unlike most, and there's nothing wrong with that. He is really into all things bigfoot related. Every person on this site has something they are really into. How would yall feel if you had a thread on the subject and it was constantly met with mockery and childish jokes?

Come back to us FF!

I'm a climate scientist. Climate change and global warming are established scientific facts, yet that whole thread is composed of strings of childishness and repeated denialist rubbish. No cries for bartw to be allowed to post links without constant denigration over there. No mods visiting. So I don't have to wonder or imagine what that's like.

I'm seeing a rather odd double standard where Big Foot discussions are protected in regards to decorum, yet no others.

Without prejudice, I have to ask "why?" It's pretty remarkable.

Lol boo hoo. Nobody denies climate change they just don't accept the politicized version of it that disregards it's been happening for billions of years and carbon taxes in the United States will fix it.

Most of it is in good fun I'm sure. Lighten up. The internet isn't that serious

I highly doubt any thread in this entire forum is met with the amount of mockery and jokes as this thread.

If a person doesn't believe, that's perfectly fine. Nobody is trying to force anyone to believe in Big Foot. I just don't see the point in purposely peeing on somebodies parade, and trying to get a rise out of them.

I honestly feel sorry for all the people that feel the need to come on this thread and mock everything that's said, while simultaneously bullying people on the internet.

What does it say about all the people that come on here just to make trouble? It tells me they are living one sad pathetic excuse of a life. In high school, the biggest bullies are generally the kids that are the most insecure about themselves. It's no different than what's going on in here.

It's a double standard because I made a couple of comments/suggestions in this thread and don't do the same in every other thread on the board? What makes this thread protected? Me simply posting in it? Or me suggesting we split this into two discussions?

Honestly, I had no idea suggesting we let people discuss a topic could promote such outrage. Live and learn I guess.

*edit: Are you talking about the climate change thread in the politics forum? That's one big difference. We have a weather thread in the Pub and I believe it remains quite civil. I check it from time to time when bad weather is predicted.

I'm thinking about starting an alien thread. (Space)

:)

If you're being sincere, go for it. I'll try to actively post in it. Aliens is another subject that fascinates me. No, I don't truly believe in aliens either, but I think they're far more likely to be real than Big Foot.

I'm working on it. I've done a great deal of reading on the subject. There is a lot of info and "proof" of some kind of existence. Scientist have even implied a intelligent life on earth long before us.

I'll try and get it started tomorrow.

I too have also done a lot of research on the subject. Like I said I'm fascinated by it all.

I have you seen any of the slides that were released on Roswell? There is supposed to be over 40 of them. The pictures were confirmed by Kodak to be from 1947 film stock. I'm still investigating this.

The Fermi paradox is what I'm reading on now.

Hey, Jackie Gleason swore up and down that President Nixon showed him alien bodies encased in large containers one time.

If Jackie Gleason says they're real, that's good enough for me!! :)

The alien subject is a bit more interesting to me because as someone said, with the vastness of the universe and the extremely small percentage we've even explored, it's a question of when we'll find intelligent life elsewhere rather than if. I can get behind that much more than the idea of Bigfoot.

Having said that....as with ghosts, I think the far vast majority of claims about alien encounters are bogus.
