Bigfoot/Sasquatch/Forest People in Tennessee

I hope the SOB is real, but I will never believe based on the evidence most of these researchers post online. I also find it hard to believe that with so many obviously attention seeking folks out there looking for bigfoot, that certain groups are in constant contact with the beasts and yet no real convincing evidence is ever presented. Just the next bunch of lackeys lining up with some phony and laughable evidence that is almost immediately shown to be a scam and back into the woods they scurry.

In short, I don't buy it for one second that multiple groups of altruistic researchers are in active contact with bigfoot yet none have attempted to cash in. It just doesn't ring true at all.

I do not know what that was behind Les Stroud there... I didn't see it.....but trees don't shake themselves like that.... could have been a big brown bear

I find it interesting that so many on here use the word "believe" when it comes to big foot. There's a big difference between believing and knowing. To me, if you say you "believe" big foot exists, it basically means you are taking it on faith that the creature exists. My question is why? Why would you put your faith in such a thing that is unsubstantiated? It's one thing to put your faith in a deity, it's another to put it in the potential existence of a large hairy bi-ped mammal.

Yes, and the problem lies in those direct answers to the questions. He's the one who has replied with specific claims that he presents as 100% fact, and he himself has pretty much ridiculed others who don't agree by stating they were merely "ignorant".

I have no problem with the discussion; what I have problem with is someone who wants to act like they have proof and wants to proclaim what they are saying is fact but bristles when that is challenged. This isn't a Bigfoot board, it's a general board. If he didn't want his claims challenged, perhaps he shouldn't have made them. It's not our job to coddle his beliefs or stroke his ego.

I just think it's funny how guys like him get turned into a victim.

Someone's personal experience are "FACT" to them... yet two people may experience the very same event and have two entirely different explanations of what happened. It does not mean that one of them is a liar or even both.

I just think a little respect would go a long way in learning what is real and what a person perceives as real.

Again, I have never seen, heard or experience a bigfoot, but I am interested in reading about those who have, but if all we do is mock them, they will never share their experience and those of us who want to read them will be denied that opportunity.

Not an attack on you or others who feel as you do, you certainly have more evidence to support your ideas than those who have had an experience have.....But is that NOT what makes it a mystery? :hi:

Trust me, there is no one in this entire world who would love to be proven wrong about Big Foot more than me. I love the IDEA of the existence of big foot. I think the idea of it being real is extremely sexy and I would be the first in line at whatever zoo would be the first to have it in captivity. However until there is real, scientific proof of it's existence, what logical choice do I have to be anything but a doubter?

I have several beliefs I prefer to sometimes discuss with like-minded individuals. without having to face off against those with opposite views at every turn.

I like to discuss Tennessee football with other fans, rather than folks telling me at every turn why Alabama is better.

it just seems like we could have a thread for to debate the basic concept of Bigfoot, for those who think discussing tall tales of mythical creatures is "childish" and below their intelligence level (both fair points) to point out all the reasons the notion is ridiculous, and a thread for those interested in civil discussion of said tall tales, myths and stories. That's the only point I've been trying to make, which I think a few of you understand.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.” - Isaac Asimov

I remember watching "Legend OF Boggy Creek" at the drive-in when it first came out. The movie was set in Arkansas and that is where my brother, sister, and I watched it, in DeQueen.
That movie scared the shizzle out of us. Never had we been so quiet for such a long period of time. After watching it, for a kid, sure made it hard on us to be outside at night in Arkansas. Lol

Next thing you know we'll all be on a hunt together singing camp songs. :) Just kidding of course. I wouldn't want to run up one one of these bad boys at night in the woods. Based on the beef jerky commercials, they seem like angry creatures.

Samsquanch?

RosenRosen on here loves that show. I've personally never watched it.

It's hilarious! If you like that kind of humor, you'd love it. Real quick episodes too, you can knock out a season in a day. Netflix original too.

Hilarious. Guy with those glasses couldn't see Bigfoot if he was standing right next to him. I think the whole crew had been smoking what they were standing in.lol:)

Haha they most definitely had, that was one of their get rich quick schemes. It's a Netflix show called Trailer Park Boys.

Never heard of it. Bigfoot movie?

Fourke monster.

It's very real to the people that live there. I've heard that a circus train/convoy of some kind crashed outside of town years ago and that the fourke monster was an escaped gorilla or the like.

Are you religious?

I'll go another route. I can hold the notion that there's a great chance life exists on other planets due to the vastness of the universe. There's not much unexplored territory in the US. In spite of that so called sittings occur in relatively occupied areas and even along highways yet there's not a speck of tangible evidence available.

The same story is tossed around in Dickson County about Werewolf Springs or halls cemetery area. The same exact story about a circus train that derailed. The funny part about the story, is that Montgomery Bell was riding down the hall Cemetery Road and it is in his journals that something was running up behind him. It was an animal and stalking him for a few miles while his driver was operating the carriage. Interesting story if you want to look it up.
