He may have shown up as a 3 pt specialist but that's not why he's on the floor. He's on the floor because he plays hard and is a good off ball defender.
As for making 70% of open 3. You post the video and then I'll believe it. But considering John Jenkins led the SEC in FT percentage at about 83%, I am going to think that backing up 50% of that distance knocks a persons shooting percentage down more than 10%. Wide open or not.

Seriously? Do you all really think it Is that difficult shooting around in a gym alone? As I offered to Zans, you can come rebound for me if you'd like.
Here's a video of Jenkins going 10/12 in open gym....83%

Yeah seriously. If you really believe you can consistently knock down 7 of 10 over a career, you are crazy. You might luck out and do it in a gym for fun every once in awhile, but to expect someone to do that in a game atmosphere, like I said, you're crazy.
As for rebounding for you, I have much better things to do with my time. Like Zan, I'd love to see the video though. And not edited to show your best 10 shots. 100 unedited shots. You make 70 and I'll admit that Chris Lofton's got nothing on you.
Again, its a small sample in a gym with no pressure. You expect McBee (who is miles away from being John Jenkins) to do it over a season.
Nobody said a career? Re read my posts, I'm talking about in an open gym shooting around. I said mcbee in game should average 40-45%, but when I said 70% we were talking about in an open gym shoot around or warmups.
"This isn't jut skylar either, although he's the guy that has to make that open lockout 9/10 times. But trae an whoever else is our on the wings, your gotta make the D pay and reward the big man for that pass."
This is your exact quote. No mention of open gym, and in fact, you say Skylar needs to make this shot 9/10 times when wide open and reward the big man who kicked it out. This suggests a game atmosphere. I'm not going to get in a war or words with you like Memphis Canes. I can read between the lines.

You're backpedaling a bit here. I can't get the post number on my phone but the time stamp was 6:16 pm. You did say McBee should hit about 70% of his open 3's. Which is what I don't agree with.
As for you making 70% in an open gym? Maybe you got mad skills, but 70% even in an open gym is solid shooting.
Anderson county. It may have to wait till May till I have enough free time. But if you find the gym, I'll come witness your 3pt skills. I might want an open apology to McBee and his pornstache if you shoot less than 40% though.
Yes IMO the wide open 3's mcbee should hit 70% of, but as I said you may only get 1 or 2 of those a game, and 3 or 4 contested 3's. So when you factor in attempts, he should average 40-45% when it's all said and done. As I said 70% of uncontested shots, say maybe 21/30 on the season and 30/90 on contested 3's on a season. That's 43% average on the season.
As for my mad skills, I wouldn't say that. I'm a chubby out of shape white guy that can still shoot the ball. I can't do much else but I can shoot the ball very consistently. You let me shoot around in a gym and I guarantee you I'll knock down 70% of 3's. As I've said that's not exactly a bragging right. I've known guys, like mcbee, who in open gym shoot arounds will hit 90% of their 3's.
