Biggest Overachievers to play for the vols

Please describe what NFL fame Anthony Morgan achieved. If he achieved fame, David Martin and Cedric Wilson should begin polishing their induction speeches for Canton.

Anthony Morgan was not a starter at Tennessee (Cedric Wilson led the Vols in receiving 2 seasons). His career in the NFL came as a complete surprise to me. However, he was a 5th round draft selection. He played from 1991 thru 1996, appearing in 64 games. His best seasons were in 1994 and 1995 while with the Green Bay Packers. He was the teams 3rd receiver in 1994 with 397 yards and 4 TDs. He was again the Packers' 3rd receiver in 1995 with 344 yards and 4 TDs. In 1992, he was the 3rd receiver for the Chicago Bears with 323 yards and 2 TDs.

Joey Kent and Marcus Nash's (both 2nd round selections in the NFL draft) combined years (4) and statistics (235 yards) don't matchup with Anthony Morgan's (7 years, 1283 yards, 12 TDs). Nash played one NFL season and had 76 yards and Kent played 3 seasons and had a career total of 159 yards.

FYI, Kent and Nash are No. 1 and No. 2 respectively on UT's all-time career receptions list.

David Martin has spent 5 seasons in the NFL (Green Bay Packers). His best season thus far was last year when he had 224 yards and 3 TDs. In 5 seasons, he has 568 yards and 7 TDs. Cedric Wilson has played 5 seasons, and has 1654 yards but only 6 TDs.

I'm still waiting for evidence of NFL fame for Anthony Morgan. His numbers for seven seasons would be comparable to an off year for Terell Owens.
