Billy Donovan to Magic . . . and back? (merged)

As far as a city goes, I believe Atlanta has more to offer than Charlotte.
wrong. been there done that, and i can tell you Charlotte has more opportunity today than Atlanta has today. this city is growing exponentially......job markets, real estate, entertainment etc, etc, etc.....

i know it's a bigger city, but in terms of growth, it can't touch Charlotte right now.

I love how you use Mullet City. Come here and see how many people with mullets you find. You live where 9-5ers go to die, an extended retirement community if you will.
i'm going to go out on a limb and say that when you're on Southbeach, i doubt the retirement community is what strikes you about the population down there.

Nashville versus South Florida.

I'm not even going to touch that.

No sane person with an IQ above room temperature would. However, I'm sure the Grand Wizard of the Nashville KKK will have something enlightening to say.

There was a KKK rally in downtown Knoxville recently, and a woman came up to me and ask, "Can you believe the KKK still exists?"

I turned to her and said, "Yes, I can." And walked away.

I'm back in Orlando and am not even going to try to read the 29 pages of posts here on this topic as I'm sure the thread has gone in a lot of directions. But on the original topic, I am torn between being pleased that Donovan is staying versus being unhappy with the way he handled it because I do worry that recruits will be concerned that Donovan is constantly on the verge of leaving.

Well, I probably should just defer to his knowledge. I mean, he lives in a city where Big and Rich pass for culture. How do you top that?

I don't know, Cowboy Troy seems to be the bigger celeb these days.

It has been the most concise and straightforward thread on this board.

I was in Knoxville that weekend, that might have been the most ridiculously inept "rally" I've ever seen. My favorite part was the woman holding up a sign that said, "Black men rape 100 white women per day." I looked at the sign hoping she had put the source of that gem in the fine print, but alas she had apparently forgotten to do so in her haste to get to the rally and stand beside like minded mongoloids.

maybe you should go to Nashville before you make fun of it? It's really one of the best places to live in the country.
It is because we have all spent more time than we would have liked in Nashville that leads us to ridicule that armpit of a municipality.

Says the guy who unfairly categorizes all NBA athletes as drug users, all black and hispanic youth in Nashville as trouble makers, and all Miami residents as retired 9-5ers.

The only 9-5 I'm familiar with here in South Florida is walking into the Clevelander at 9 PM and going to Jerry's Deli at 5 AM.

I loved the clowns across the street.

I will take Knoxville and Tennessee in general over Northern Cuba any day.

Nothing says racial harmony like clowns, mimes, and gay attorneys with bullhorns. I was just praying that nobody visiting Knoxville from out of town wandered upon that sea of insanity.

Thank you for that...I get plenty of chuckles out of reading this board, but rarely do I laugh out loud. That is one of the funniest things I've read in a long, long time.
