I've always thought regulation was coming. I mean, it's always been there, but more is coming.

Mainstream sheep are doomed no matter what because -
A they are to stupid to survive on their own
B Because of A they will always be depended upon someone else which is why they are such low hanging fruit for the government.

So yes the government and regulators do feed on them by spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt on the very assets they themselves are using to build a new and desperately needed financial system. This will push said sheep away from being able to capitalize while they still can.

The reason said regulations will be needed, specifically in ISO 20022, is because to get all the central banks involved there will need to be a level playing field or they will tell the BIS, WEF and Fed to go to hell.

Just read the book about the Silk Road called American Kingpin. One of the government officials (I think he was DEA) investigating the case sold the creator of SR information and extorted him, for a total of about $750k in bitcoin. They probably would have caught him either way, but they were able to track all the bitcoin that came and went and tied him to it.

Hackers Steal over $600 Million in one of the largest crypto heists ever

Hackers target PolyNetwork, affecting tens of thousands of people.

Hackers have made off with more than $600 million in various cryptocurrencies, likely the largest heist ever in the burgeoning world of decentralized finance.

The hackers targeted PolyNetwork, a decentralized finance platform that enables people to swap tokens across different blockchains.

The theft affects tens of thousands of people, PolyNetwork said in a letter that was posted on Twitter and addressed to the anonymous hackers.

But in an unusual turn of events, the hackers appear to have returned some of the stolen funds, PolyNetwork said in a statement.

More than $4.7 million — about .8 percent of the stolen money — had been returned as of just before 8 a.m. ET, according to a tweet from PolyNetwork.

Researchers at blockchain security firm SlowMist said more than $610 million worth of cryptocurrency was stolen.

I would have to guess no, they have not noticed.

They seem more calm now that their dream team sniff and blow are in office.
