I watched this tonight, it was good. I think I'll enjoy it but I cannot wait for Dexter on Sunday and the new season of Weeds is good. This will be 3rd on my list of things I watch.

There were some very solid plot thickeners last night.

Just watched the first episode. Not impressed. Very slow and Mr. Pink is just not great in the lead.

This show could definitely pick up the pace, it's seemed a bit slow so far.

Anybody else still watching this? I have been a bit disappointed thus far, but I thought last night's episode was pretty decent.

Hopefully last night's ep is a sign that the story is finally starting to move forward.

Def. slow but entertaining.

On a side note, I keep seeing "Dabney Coleman" in the opening credits but never see why (assume as a character). I don't remember seeing him in the show though unless he's pretty well disguised (possibly Nucky's butler?)

EDIT:

Before someone "Google is your friend"ed me, I checked it out. He's the Commodore (didn't recognize him but see it now)

Yeah, I recognized him. Dabney is looking old. Probably because he is.

This kind of reminds me of Deadwood in a way. Deadwood is one of my favorite shows but it started out slow then picked up. BE is starting to pick up steam.

Agree - took me almost all of the first season to really dig Deadwood. After that I was hooked.

I miss Al Swearengen

It's certainly been slow, but I believe it really started gaining momentum with the "I ain't building no bookcase" episode.

The most interesting part is with Al and Jimmy. I can't wait to see how that develops into a NY/NJ/Chi type thing.

No comments after last week?

Jimmy is becoming a total cold blooded killer. The meeting of the sniper, recognizing his potential then using him to finish the guy that slashed the hooker was classic.

Discuss.

I thought getting "half face" was pretty BA. I'm curious to see where they are going with the Al Capone/Chicago story and how much longer Jimmy stays alive.

The Chicago stuff is by far the most compelling part of the show.

I know it was two weeks ago but what about that dude beating himself with his belt while looking at the picture of Margaret Schroeder? No wonder he always has that constipated look on his face.

Definately a strange bird, his interactions with his wife and the female leads are odd, to say the least.

I don't know why, but I just couldn't get into this show.

It started a bit slow, but I think it is really hitting its stride.
