:eek:lol:

Not really, just a sane sports fan that's willing to accept reality.

You are giving him more credit than he deserves because you are a Hat sycophant. He's a good coach but there is nothing to suggest he will be in the final four in the next 3 years.

Maybe the fact that he will be returning two All-SEC players next season.

Patterson will be gone next year. Meeks may return. But that will be his only returning All SEC player if he does.

I loved the General growing up...but....

I think his time has passed.
It would not strike fear in many people IMO for him to be at UGA...at his age he is not going to coach many more years if he gets back in and I just don't think he has in him what he had 10-15 years ago when he was without a doubt one of the greatest.

Regardless of how old he is, his players will give their all for him, or they won't be playing.

Report: Bob Knight interested in vacant Georgia Bulldogs job - ESPN

Georgia may be on Bob Knight's mind.

A source close to the legendary coach told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Sunday that if Knight were offered the Bulldogs job, he would take it.

"He doesn't want it to look as if he's pursuing the job. He'd like to be offered it, and if offered, he'd take it," the source said.

"He doesn't want it to look as if he's looking for work, but I can assure you that he'd like to have the job. It's the idea of coaching a team in the Southeastern Conference that appeals to him. There are just so many things he could do for Georgia basketball. This would be his last stop, and he likes that."

Georgia fired Dennis Felton last Thursday after the Bulldogs got off to a 9-11 start and were 0-5 in the SEC. Associate coach Pete Herrmann was named interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Knight, 68, left Texas Tech in the middle of the 2008 season. The winningest coach in college history with 902 victories coached the Raiders from 2001-08 after a 29-year run at Indiana that ended in controversy. After leaving Texas Tech, Knight has served as an analyst for ESPN.

"I have never said that I wouldn't coach again," Knight said in a statement. "I've simply said in the past, if the right situation came along, I would be interested."

Just curious what you guys think about this? I think it would be a huge pickup for Georgia....Although I don't like it!

In other news, I'm hearing that Gruden might be getting the axe in Tampa.

I guess texas tech wasn't right for bobby. I'd say he'd get them playing a lot better basketball. I don't know how much bob has left in the tank though.
