On VolInArizona's blog he says the following:
Tedford is generally heralded as God in Berkeley (which, in itself, is a freaking "does not compute" moment for me). Cal-Berkeley fans (1 dollar to Les Miles) continually assert that Tedford is one of the 10 best coaches in college football. One.of.the.10.best. Yeah, it pisses me off, too. He's done a good job with a dead program. Great, a lot of coaches have done that. However, it doesn't automatically put you in the upper echelon.
Show me another coach that has done this (posted on the cal board a couple of days ago):
From 2002-2007 Cal's winning % is 20th ranked for all D-1A teams
From 2004-2006 Cal's winning % is tied for 13th for all D-1A teams
Contrast the above numbers with where we were pre-JT.
From 1997-2001 Cal's winning % was 105th for all D-1A teams.
From 1999-2001 Cal's winning % was 109th for all D-1A teams.
