Bonnaroo 2013

Thursday and Sunday are pretty skippable, usually. If you could do Friday and Saturday, you'd be set. Most people don't even show up Thursday, and spend most of Sunday packing up their stuff.

I only saw 2 shows Thurs and 2 shows Sunday.

Agree with you here man. One of the worst mistakes you can make at Roo is to rage all night Thursday night. It will completely f up the rest of the weekend for you.

People simply don't realize that you CANNOT sleep at Roo past 7AM because of the heat. The only way I could get sleep was by finding a tracker trailer/biga$$ tree and sleeping under it.

Are hammocks an option?

Hammocks are a great option... for those with the natural ability to sleep on their backs. Hard to sleep on your stomach in a hammock.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. Hammocks are so nice though. I could maybe do a fetal position. I guess what I am wondering is if there are many trees in this farm area?

I wish. Trees might keep it a little cooler than 95 degrees.

You planning on going this year? I know you've been dying to see Mumford.

If I was living back there already and planning a high end festival, I'd have to go with Crossroads at MSG.

I don't know. This whole heat^4 + hipster - jousting x Mumford thing doesn't sound too promising. But June is a ways away. I'll think about it.

There are very few hippies at Bonnaroo. I don't know about hipsters, but it's mostly your average drunk college kids.

Last bunch of tickets go on sale tomorrow, and they usually sell out fast.

Don't worry about the tickets, for real. Do not buy them from Roo. Simply go to the festival and buy them from the million peeps selling them as you go in. I got mine on Friday last year for, wait for it, $50.

Why so cheap? Because there are many locals of Coffee County that could careless about going. So they usually sell them for pretty cheap.

Very true. I saw lots of hippies in 2005, but very very very few last year. The festival has been taken over by frat guys pounding beers.

Yes, they are an option but where are the trees exactly? If you get there early enough you could get into lot 1 that does have several trees around. Other than that, no trees.

Instead of Bonnaroo, you need to think Dustaroo.

Sun shelters are where it's at. I don't think they're too expensive either.
