Boo Carter Penalty?

Because he followed the Bama players after the play and got in his face and continued taunting. Can't do that.
He did this only after the Bama player slapped or pushed Carters helmet, they didn't show that but once on the replays.

Careful, some of the folks who have had accounts here since 1988 will tell you how wrong you are or that you are spewing venom, but those of us who know football know that this was a huge risk that thankfully went Tennessee's way. I am glad it did. I think Boo is a huge part of the future at Tennessee. I want him to continue to grow into the elite player I think he really is going to be. Being an elite player is knowing how to pick your spots. I am good with trash-talking, but at that stage in the game, it was an unnecessary and huge risk.
I agree it was a huge risk that could have been offsetting penalties.

Wonder what he said to make the bama receiver push him?

Looked like simple trash talking to me.

One of the announcers said he should have gotten a penalty as well but I don’t agree.
He probably told him his greasy granny’s got holes in her panties

He threw a punch. Why shouldn't he have been penalized? We got extremely lucky on that one.
There was a Hornet flying close to the player's face. Our scouting report said he is allergic to bee stings.

He was trying to shoo away the insect. Could've been a dangerous situation.

In the first replay the bama guy shoved Boo in the face mask, Boo started mouthing about it and the bama guy shoved him again well after the whistle. The subsequent replays omitted the initial helmet shove and the announcers tried to sell it as equal reactions by both. I think the correct call was made IMO.
That’s what I thought I saw but they only showed that portion once.

I wonder what got Boo started. He followed that Bama kid around all 4th quarter, telling him about something. I don’t mind a good trash talking, but don’t let it take you from the game or the team.

If Boo was losing that battle, I suspect that Klaw kid would have been following Boo around instead. Very personal whatever it was. Hopefully that isn’t an every game display. It gets tiresome when someone shows up just to run their mouth.

Yeah, I am 100% certain the Bama guy started all of that nonsense and Boo was going to make sure he knew about the rest of the game. He just needs to be mindful that more times than not, he's going to catch a flag for that.

Talking isn't the problem. Taunting is literally a penalty. Throwing a punch in response is most always offsetting penalties.
Doesn't always have be physical contact to draw a penalty. Oregon was not only penalized but their player ejected for spitting at an OSU player.

Boo seems to have that dog in him and this what comes with it… he did nothing wrong in my eyes he can talk all he wants that’s part of the game… it’s refreshing in this soft era to see somebody not flop and try to sell the call boo stood his ground on the shove… that little love swipe after wasn’t that big of a deal and didn’t even connect he could’ve been a lot more aggressive… it was more of a show of dominance, to let Bama know we were not backing down, than a real issue… I’m sure heup and banks will tell him to be smart though… every team needs a player like boo and good leadership to help keep it contained enough to limit penalties… Juan Jennings would’ve been exactly like boo if he played defense… this defense is fast and physical and plays with a nasty demeanor and I love it.

I thought he told the Bama thing, "I Rod Wilked you."
Ok so I been on here for a few years now and always wondered what the running joke is about Rod Wilks and The Legend Paul Bain lol? Everytime I see them mentioned I always wonder, so if you or anyone else could fill me in I'd greatly appreciate it. Don't leave your fellow Vol fan out of the know please. Thank you

He actually paid the bammer a compliment by saying that his mother was a hamster. But since his mother is actually his sister he was offended and threw a punch.
