I guess every other world power over time, and not just one, have been unfair and unethical.
Since we are almost everywhere, there's not much that we wouldn't consider our business. China is expanding and wants to supplant us. They see it as their rightful destiny. So the chance of conflict is high.

So where would you suggest our Olympic athletes go compete since everyone else is there right now? Should they stage their own Olympics at home and declare themselves all good medal winners?

You're blaming the athletes for something out of their control. It's completely stupid and it seems you are the one in need of a clue

The headline is garbage because her defense wasn't a defense, she essentially said just use a VPN which is too controversial for the Chinese government (and for deranged Americans who want to demonize her).

She got the apple store part wrong, but VPN's are widely used in China.

I am aware they are widely used. I am also aware that China will jail you if they catch you. So her acting like it's "let's just go to the App Store" shows she's ignorant AF. It's not that simple. There is risk.

I'm just confused by people calling her "dumb" when her message is "bypass the government" when the whole reason they didn't like her in the first place is because they think she is pro Chinese government. Whatever you want to say about her naivete, she knows she was saying to bypass the government.

Not the reaction I expected in here.

She's dumb to the consequences of a Chinese citizen using a VPN.
The article mentioned that there is no indication she has relinquished her US citizenship but if she has done that and taken Chinese citizenship she may be educated on the matter pretty soon.

I have no clue on what she has done or will do in regards to her citizenship. I know China does not allow dual citizenship but do not know whether they allow non citizens to compete for their Olympic teams. IMO it was a dumb move for her to compete for China instead of the US but teenagers do dumb ****. If she gave up her US citizenship to do it she's an idiot.
