Bracketology Update, 3/2

A little hope has never hurt anybody.

probably worth noting here that I love how someone posting a bracket projection somehow leads people to think anyone in this thread is talking about UT being primed for anything more than possibly MORE favorable matchups.

If we lose 1 of the last 2 games, we'll be an 8 seed. It will be interesting to see how far we will go in the Conference torney.

How we play in that could be the key to how high of a seed we will be.

We are supposed to get excited !!!!!! We are TENNESSEE VOLS !!!!!! You (-) fans. You show your true fanhood continiously on this site. Negativity. Half you guys either SSSSUUUUCCCCCKKKKK or you are crying. Grow up already........
Go Big Orange. # 1 always, in a true fans mind.

it's a messageboard, tom, when watching the game i'm sure we all root just as hard as anyone else. It would be strange and somewhat pointless for us to log on here and post "GO VOLS!" over and over again. Plus who would read that?

It's probably also safe to say that some of our enjoyment comes from the discussion about our chances, about what we are doing right(and in turn, wrong), how we could potentially correct such things, etc.

And the ban comes in 3....2....1....

I think the best seed we could hope for is probably a 5, and this is if we win out and win a couple in the tourney.

There, now it's accurate.

Ironically, as Florida continues its slide into also-ran oblivion, your SOS will slide a wee bit.

to what? 3rd, 4th, 5th?

I mean come on....we are at #2 in SOS right now.

You are such an egomaniac. You think everything we do has to do with your awful Florrible b-ball team.

lol

I love how a win over what has proven to be a completely mediocre Florida team has people thinking UT is primed for a run in the 'AAs.

I love how you serve up a big turd sandwich anytime anything positive is said about this team or the coach.

When someone says something positive that has even the slightest basis in fact, I'll let it pass. When people get giddy about a victory over a team that lost to Georgia, I feel the need to interject reality.

Seeing that in print yet again makes me dizzy.

Granted, UGA played its best game of the season that night, but a team that wants into the NCAAs should not be losing to a team with a theretofore 0-9 conference record.

#7 seed. Not a bad draw.

Can't agree.

James Anderson going off ala Meeks/Christmas style makes that game a toss up.

Then MSU and Izzo would be able to shut us down and dictate tempo like all good coaches do.

Duke and Syracuse are also bad matchups, as the Blue Devils are a good, discplined perimeter team while Jonny Flinn and Devendorf would shred our D.

Now, we make a move and get into the 6th spot and things change, as long as we don't draw Duke in Greensboro.

I'd probably take the other regions over ours.

I understand - I just had to say it though. From your perspective (not including sarcastic remarks), is there anything positive to say right now on UT men's basketball?

Agreed Hat. Gotta question. How are South Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky locks for at-large bids while UAB gets not lovin'? RPIs are same and UABs SOS is much better. I've seen all of these teams play multiple games, including UAB live, and think that they have better players. Delaney, Kinnard, Vaden are better than any trio those other teams put on the floor.

I don't think any of the three SEC teams you mentioned are locks.

Sure, they're going to make the NCAA Tournament.

I think the SEC will get four teams in. The UF-UK match up should decide the final team in.

In all objective reality, the SEC deserves only 3 bids: LSU, Tennessee, and whoever comes out of the SC/UK/UF entanglement with the best resume (most likely SC, at this point.)
