We’d be better off as a 11 seed to be honest.

Creme generally isn’t correct anyway. All that stuff is hogwash. The conference tournaments really decide what happens.

TCU plays OU today, OU has all their players back now and may surprise them.

If we play well in the SEC tournament I think we can go as high as a 7 seed, maybe a 6 if we make the finals. That’s a pipe dream though.

A 6 seed probably is unreachable unless we win the SEC tourney, and any seed between 7-10 we’ll likely be out in the 2nd round. A 6 or 11 seed gets us the best chance at a sweet sixteen run IMO.

The Tennessean today says we have to win first tournament game and look at least competitive in second to guarantee NCAA bid. I hate this dang moving bar!

A lot depends on what Bama and a couple of other teams do. We need Bama to lose and we definitely need to win the first game. It is going to be against a lowly ranked team that could knock you down several slots if you lose.

The LadyVols beat the Lady Bammers this season.

Want matter if they win a game or two and we lose. Their sos is better than ours and their rpi will be better than ours if that happens. Right now they are in the first four out and were like ahead of about six teams from them. Nothing is based on the results of one game it is all based on the entire season. Their wins over a couple ranked teams got them on the rise fast. Were definitely in a must win situation in the first game and will be fine after that. We might make it by losing that first game but sure wouldn't want to put much faith in it since were at 57 and Bama is at 59 with a better sos. We need them to lose or we definitely must win.

That’s totally fair!

I don't think it will matter since I think the LadyVols are already in.

I agree if they win that first game and we'll see if they don't. It would really be a nail biter if they lose to Missouri or Ole Miss both are really bad with rpi's out of site. A loss would pull us down 10 positions from 57 to 67. I don't believe we'll lose so we hopefully want ever know what damage it would've done no reason for us to lose to either of them.

Does anyone have any idea how many mid major conferences have a legit 2 contender shot if the favorite doesn’t win? I know South Dakota State is one of them in. UT Martin is playing rn and we need them to win cause the OVC is only projected 1. And I think I heard FGCU from the ASun needs to win

Per Charlie Creme, these are the leagues in which we need the favorites to win:

Atlantic Sun (Florida Gulf Coast)
Summit (South Dakota)
Mid-American (Central Michigan)
West Coast (Gonzaga)
Ivy League (Princeton)

The latest projection has us as an 11 seed vs 6 seed Ohio State in Maryland’s region. If we win we’d play the 3 seed Gonzaga. That’s a dream bracket and our best shot at the Sweet 16.
