Not sure which forum to place this in, but Clay Travis has reported that Brad Nessler is leaving ESPN for CBS and will be replacing Verne. But he will first work NFL games before Verne leaves.

Brad Nessler is a great choice to replace Verne, but I will miss the little guy. Like Corso, I respect guys who love the game and Lundquist does. He really is an all time great. Definitely time for CBS to move on and Nessler is an A+ hire.

Verne isn't leaving yet though.

Wonder the money difference between announcing games for ESPN vs CBS for Nessler? I like Nessler & thought it was time for Verne to go. Nessler is a good announcer & has the perfect voice for calling games. I thought he might replace Kessling at UT but I guess not now! LOL! :)

BTW, I assume Gary Danielson is staying at CBS to call most games with Nessler?

Also, it looks like Mike Tirico is leaving ESPN MNF to join NBC and call Sunday Night games and Sean McDonough (who is my favorite college football play by play man) is replacing Tirico and will be calling games with Gruden.

Only thing that could make this coming fall better is if UT won the Natty.

The exodus at ESPN continues.

Cowherd already left last year, and now Tirico, Nessler, and Skip Bayless are all leaving.

Tirico is going to be doing NBC's Thursday Night games. Al Michaels still has 2 years left on his contract, after which I'm assuming he's retiring and Tirico will take over.

If Nessler can just bring Blackledge back to CBS with him, that would be great. CBS has the best coverage, but ESPN has the better crew. Nessler and Blackledge on CBS would be great.

IMO, Nessler, Tirico, Michaels, and Tessitore are the best play by play commentators in football.

Verne leaving?

I wish I had the ability right now to make a Grumpy Cat pic with "good" on it.

I actually like Gary Danielson but I would take Blackledge replacing him to be with Nessler.
