Brady Chokes!

It's not just this year, it's any Peyton hasn't won. They say he chokes, he can't win the big one, but never give him the benefit of the doubt since his defense stunk for so long and his Oline didn't show up vs Pittsburgh, or that his WRs tipped two balls straight up in the air for the INTs you speak of.

I've always said it, always will. You give Brady the benefit of the doubt b/c he is the lesser player. That's what people do to try and make an argument.

The difference is the O-line showed up for Pittsburgh. The problem was Manning kept sending his TE and RB on pass routes while the Steelers brought 6 people after Peyton. You CAN NOT fault that on an O-line.

but you could argue blindfolded that Brady had 1.47235 million X the defensive talent. This year that changed, but injuries killed the Colts in the end. A healthy colts team this season and the Pats lose in Indy.

i'm not sure brady had that much better talent on d recently. belicheck is certainly a better defensive coordinator.

That's a stretch. Brady is uber-accurate, patient as he can possibly be, cool hand Luke and has an uncanny ability to avoid the rush (his line helps, except yesterday) and has won the big game multiple times. I'm certain that people are supporting brady for those reasons among others, not because he is the lesser QB.

I said that changed this season. Last season was the historically bad run D (which they won it all with) and prior to that was just atrocious.

to act like Brady isn't good at all proves you have no idea about football so it's not even worth debating.

I didn't say he wasn't good at all. He's in the NFL. Everyone in the NFL is good. But as far as NFL talent goes, he's average at best. If you have a good coach and a good system, you don't need a Peyton Manning or a John Elway to win the Superbowl. Ask Joe Gibbs. 3 Superbowls with 3 different QBs none of them were that great. I mean as good as Joe Montana was Elway was a better athlete and Dan Marino was a better pure passer (this is coming from someone who thinks Marino was a giant peckerhead) Everyone in the NFL is a good football player. You don't make millions of dollars doing something if you're not good at it.

you said Brady probably wouldn't start for the Giants. After such watershed style statements, you just don't really need to say any more.

Having extreme confidence because of the team around you and having one of the greatest coaches of all time doesn't hurt either.

a look at their career stats shows peyton with a slight edge is QB rating (2 points) and completion percentage (2 points). Very similar stats untill you look at the playoffs where peytons stats are far worse than brady's. I like peyton. i've rooted for him. I've been an apologist. But the fact is that when it matters Brady has been FAR better than Peyton.

Brady wouldn't have even started for the Pats if Bledsoe didn't get hurt.
If I recall, Bledsoe got healthy and Brady stayed at the helm because he was flat better.

But we digress, what does that have to do with absurdity about Brady not being a starter for the Giants? You actually said that.

And besides isn't this the VOLNATION? I'm in Chattanooga. The South. I personally don't like Brady, because he's an overrated pretty boy from Michigan. No NFL QB should wear a manpurse or have highlights in his hair. He's a sniveling little girl. You might as well put Ryan Seacrest out there. Give me Peyton or Eli or Brett Favre or Terry Bradshaw or Vince Young or Big Ben. Those guys are what an NFL QB should be. Not a little nancy boy like Brady. Think about it guys who would you rather go huntin with? Brady or Favre. Brady's an overrated whiny little brat who whines on the field everytime things don't go his way. He got what was coming to him and I think it's hillarious. Just like the Yankees when they lost to the Diamondbacks, Just like the Lakers when they got WHOOPED by the great Detroit Pistons the Patriots dynasty is DEAD. Superbowl XLIII Colts vs Giants. The Manning Bowl.

you're basing your argument upon who you'd rather hunt with?

while we're being arbitrary, I'd much rather he dating Brady's GF than Peyton's wife.

where one was born, played college ball or whether or not they make good huntin' buddies has nothing to do with ability. Get over your Yankee bias and see talent for what it is. also, for the record Big Ben was born in Northern Ohio. Some Southerner he is.

A lot of people are flat better than Bledsoe. You Brady lovers need to go to the WolverineNation. I'm all about the Vols and the SEC. I never said I wasn't a homer. But that doesn't make me wrong.

Didn't Bledsoe play at least the second half of the AFC Title game against Pitt. I think it was. Peyton would never allow himself to get hurt in such a big game. :whistling:

The NFL woudn't let them. It would be the greatest Dynasty we've ever seen, as long as they let Bruce Pearl coach them.
your being a UT homer and all, I'm very disappointed in this unabashed stiffarm to Fulmer. Your homerocity might not be as high as indicated by earlier silliness. Might wanna reflect a bit before saying more.

What's wrong with being a homer and loving your team and loving the guys that you used to go to Knoxville to watch play, (except for Stallworth, Kelley Washington and Rashad Baker, I hate the Pats). UT is only 4 years of their football career. After that they go on to bigger things. Here's a homer statement. But I feel it's true. If Tee Martin was Bledsoe's backup in 2001 then he'd have 3 rings. And Tom Brady would be hosting Talkin' Big Ten Football.

novel idea. A team that can't even win the SEC since '98 is going to become an NFL dynasty with a basketball coach as their HC.
