It may just be me, but after reading Meat Market about Orgeron's recruiting habits, I think this one may not be over until the last minute. Maybe I am just wishing out loud. Surely Coach O will not give up until he enrolls or signs on the dotted line.

Oku did the same, remember.

Nothing is over until papers are signed.

depends how dirty the girls are, how hot they are, and how willing they are...

its all a part of the game and it is what some of these guys are looking at when they go to a school. which school has hotter girls for me to have sex with and which school has the girls most willing to have sex with me. lie to yourself if you do not think that these guys think about that.
Hot girls are fine...literally :) ...but that's not what an athletic program needs to be trying to sell. We don't need to be running a psuedo-brothel. There are hot girls everywhere a recruit may chose to go. And them being high profile athletes affords them plenty of opportunities to score some honey's. :)

They don't need hostesses running a shallow game to lure them.

Well...seeing that he is an EE, and he knows he's the source of our NCAA inquiry, the shot clock may have just run out on CEO.

They pushed the limit with these hostesses and now it's bitten us on the bum...both cheeks too. :)

I am more or less playing devils advocate with you. I understand why we have them and I understand why we probably shouldn't. BUT every school has them so we must too. These kids, especially the good ones that have been studs at their school for the past 5 years want to see girls lining up for them (the movie He Got Game) comes to mind. I know a couple of high profile recruits from the past couple years and this kind of thing is the norm (actually know some stuff that has gone on at Tennessee with LPE).

Like you, I think Brandon got involved (in his mind at least) with one of the girls. When he kind of saw that she was doing it for reasons that he didn't like he freaked. Then the NYT story kind of lit the fire, and the investigation put it over the top.

That being said I do not think we stop doing what we do. We have recruited well at this university for a long time, and our hot co-eds has helped. How dirty they are depends on the girl, not the people putting them out there. I am sure there are several 'slutty' girls showing these guys around, as well as some very classy girls as well.

Sorry for the long post. (Also good riddance BWill, I liked him but if he doesn't want to be in orange with some of his good friends because of a girl, then we don't need him)

I have to believe that Reaves was putting on a bit of a show to be "completely shocked" by this. We have been waiting on this being official for a few weeks now, and we don't earn a living following this stuff....well, most of us don't :).

Sad really. A waste of talent. You can get to the NFL from UNC, but you don't go there to win championships. IMHO, a kid with Willis' talent should want to play somewhere that has championship level expectations. We might not be there right now, but we've been there and are fighting to get back there. UNC football has never been there and will never get there. Just sad.

The Rivals team listing I saw still had us with 20 commits in the 6th position. I could be wrong but I think that losing Willis dropped us down to 19 commits so I'm guessing that the team standings won't be updated until tomorrow or Monday. I believe we'll still be in the top 10 though, I'm guessing around 8 or 9.

Yeah, Willis dropped us to 19, they are counting 20 in the rankings

I think we drop behind Penn St, but maybe not any farther

I forgot the recruiting period ended on January 3rd. Dangit :banghead2: Looks like we can't sign any more players to make up for the ones who went elsewhere. Good call

As you can tell by the way we have dropped on Scout, they go more by bodies than the quality of a recruit. The losses of Adams, Jose, etc. hurt us just about as much as Willis. We will climb back up fast over there when we sign some more guys...

"Coach Reaves was kind of shocked," the 6-foot-3, 265-pounder admitted. "He thought I was firm. He asked me if he was able to change my mind, but he can't. I last talked to (defensive line) coach (Ed) Orgeron on Christmas Eve and haven't talked to coach (Lane) Kiffin in a while.

honestly, how could Reaves been shocked at this happening?

Of course he is going to act shocked to Willis...even if he knew it was coming. What would you expect him to do...

"Ok, cool bro...no worries, I've been expecting this for a while..."
