I see what they are doing here. Starting this rumor now, almost 2 months ahead of schedule, so that it, like any other "big fish" story can grow with time. Smart..smart.

What do they think we are, idiots? Of course there is going to be a "big fish" surprise on NSD. We're talking about Ed O, Lance Thompson, Jim Chaney, and Lane and Monte Kiffin. Its all but guaranteed!

It's kinda funny how people gripe about the rumors, but then spend pages and pages talking about them. I think y'all DO like the rumors, cause it gives you something to gripe about on an otherwise boring day on boards.

I am going to make a prediction, TN will have not one but two surprise commits on NSD! Also it is going to snow a lot in Canada in the next two months. It will be pretty warm in Togo and lots of raw fish will be consumed in Japan...

Rumors are a large part in recruiting....you have to be able to distinguish between the "reliable" rumors and the "friends brothers babysitter" rumors.

Maybe my memory is not serving me well...but wasn't all the big fish talk going on over the summer, around the time we missed on Scroggins? I seem to think that some were suggesting a USC QB transfer was the big fish. The (really big) big fish thread dated back to then, not NSD 2009, no?

This makes me think it is UT. His "second guessing" seems more like what has happened in the past few weeks with UNC and Miami. Maybe I am reading too much into this but that seems like what it means to me.

He's been committed to UT since Sept I think it was? Pretty solid coming to the games. Seems like everything was fine until the hostess gate. That seems to be the second guessing he is doing? It seems he was pretty much set on UT until that came up. That caused him to second guess and he wants to be comfortable coming to UT.

I really do not know why anyone would go to UNC to play college football, when you have the opportunity to play for a big time football school like Miami or UT. UNC's football program is one of convenience, meaning their fans come out of the woodwork when it is convenient for them. I have lived my entire life 10 minutes from Chapel Hill (other than my 4 1/2 or 5 years in Knoxville) and football season is just something to pass the time until basketball season comes around. I really hope Brandon makes the decision for himself and I really hope it is UT. If he chooses UNC... I hope we embarrass the hell out of him in Chapel Hill in 2011.

I kinda saw it the other way around. Seemed like he had pretty much eliminated UT after everything happen - was dead set on UNC - and said he was just more comfortable with their coaching staff and stuff, but now is second guessing UT and may want to switch back to his original school. So I'm going to assume we probably won't get him back for now unless something changes yet again.
