Ok, I have an idea. Let's start a thread, you pose that question.

"Is a 50 year old man sodomizing a 10 year old boy a situation that could be acceptable under any circumstances." And, you and I won't make one post, and we'll sit back and see what the responses are.

Would this be one of those "the majority is always right" kind of things? I give two ****s about commonly held beliefs. Feel free to start the poll, though.

If coach walked in and saw the guy laying in bed with the kid and didn't have some kind of suspicion, then he's in trouble.

Also, when it comes to these cases, there is often more than one victim. This might get worse. Im hoping it doesn't.

You have done nothing but assume facts, assume what you would do in certain situations, and assume what Paterno must have known, since he is Penn State after all.

At least be intellectually honest if you are going to be an arrogant prick.

Now, young Apollo, you've stooped to the level of downright lying in your failed attempts to prove me a hypocrite. In Paterno's situation, we know, based on his own statements that he knew of the allegation. Here, we know that the victim says that Boeheim witnessed this. Obviously, if that is true, and Boeheim witnessed questionable behavior on the part of his assistant, a full-scale investigation should have occurred. We don't know that yet. Now, that's assuming nothing. My position on all of the Penn State situation is based on what we actually know.

I'm just curious to see the response. I'd like to see if there is one person that would side with you on that issue. Just one.

And, you'd still be wrong about what I was meaning. Better stick to reflecting on showering with your middle school coaching staff.

What am I missing? Boeheim witnessed man in bed with boy. Did not report it. But boeheim shouldn't be fired?

If a teacher walked into another teacher's classroom and saw a student sitting in the teacher's lap, that teacher would be required to report it.

I don't see how if Boeheim saw a boy laying in one of his coaches bed, and didn't report it how he could keep his job.

We don't know what Boeheim witnessed. We know what one person says Boeheim witnessed. Paterno himself admitted to McQueary informing him of the allegations.

K fair point. Although paterno only admitted something of a sexual nature. Didn't ever say what specifically

And that matters how? Are you saying he shouldn't go to the police if it was just a little fondling, but he should if it was a full blown ass raping?

He couldn't survive it. I really want to hope, as I did with Paterno, that he didn't know what was going on.

No. saying we dont know exactly what paterno was told

We know what Paterno said he was told. That's damning enough. If he was actually told the boy was being ass raped, that just makes it that much worse. You are discussing something completely irrelevant.

Paterno did not know what McQueary witnessed. This is the point. You are choosing not to believe Davis, until there is corroboration, but are stating that Paterno should have believed McQueary and gone straight to the police (even though you admitted you have serious doubts about McQueary's credibility) instead of going to his superior who then told him it would be investigated.

You are inconsistent.

Do you enjoy being a part of a group?

I do not care if there is not another person in the entire world who would side with me on the issue.

Again, a lie. I have stated that even if Paterno didn't believe McQueary, he should have turned it over to the authorities to be investigated. If it turned out that Paterno was right and McQueary made it up, it would come out in the investigation.

You are a liar.
