BREAKING: Syracuse investigating report that Asst coach Molested former ball boy

Oh, come on...

People can and will say anything to save their own ass.

Let's just say that Jim did witness him in his bed but the only people who know about it are Davis, Fine and Jim.

Therefore making Jim the key witness in all of this, could he not lie and try to cover it up to save his own ass?

Now, like I said, I will stay in the middle untill there is more info to actually form an opinion but to say that just cause he was adamant that he is telling the truth is a little naive to me.

I see what you're saying. That's certainly possible although I tend to believe Boeheim at this point.

But he said the men lied about the child molestation too. I think that says a little something. Obviously way too early to make judgements, but still.

How the Hell would he know for sure that it never happened?

The turning into local authorities is a little much. Just ban him. Can't accuse somebody for a weird interpretation.

I don't think pl3 was accusing him; he felt his posts warranted investigating him. (Correct me if I'm wrong, pl3)

No matter what, it's the response of a man who knows the ins and outs of Syracuse's investigation a few years ago and is confident nothing is going to jump up and bite him in the ass. He's staked his Hall of Fame career and reputation on his denunciation of this guy as a liar.

Instant credibility, anyway. We'll see if it holds.

I actually put TRUT on my Ignore list a long time ago. Back when Fulmer was close to being fired, I "Ignored" everyone who started an asinine thread just to get everyone riled up. I could be wrong, but I think that's when I first ignored TRUT. I later pulled him off of the Ignore list.

I don't remember many posters from thread to thread, but not long before the PSU stuff, it seemed like everyday TRUT and I were taking polar opposite positions on sports topics. I just decided I disagreed with everything he says and moved on. Then, the PSU scandal, and a whole new world of disagreement.

Maybe these guys have lied before to him?

Let's just say this: Considering all that has happened the last two weeks with the Penn State situation, you think it would be smart for Boeheim to come out and call potential molestation victims liars and money grabbers? Because even if he doesn't believe them, I don't think so.

I agree.

I don't know.

They could very well be lying, then again, he could, one thing is for sure, somebody is and we will find out eventually.

Davis said he broke off all contact with Fine in 2001 [when he would have been 29 years old] because, Davis said, Fine grabbed him by the neck at Manley Field House and demanded repayment of a $5,000 loan he’d given him — a debt Davis admits he never paid.

Four years later, Davis accuses Fine of lifelong sexual abuse. Syracuse investigates, finds no corroborating evidence, drops it.

Six years later, the Penn State scandal breaks out. And coincidentally, here comes Davis again, this time with his stepbrother, accusing Fine again, while the whole country's whipped into a frenzy about child rape in college athletics.

Yeah, on the face of it this pretty much looks like extortion.

That changes things a bit.

I honestly hope it is extortion. I can't wrap my head around the sick human beings who would do things to a child in the first place.

I will say that their interviews on camera and the way they talk about the abuse, etc seems a bit off.

All of the Sandusky victims want to remain hidden. People don't want to bring these things up. The emotional scars haunt kids for life.

With all that being said it could very well be true and if so I hope all who knew or covered anything up at Syracuse are brought to justice as well.

My guess is Davis is hung like a donkey, and that's what Fine is about. My two cents. Just throwin it out there. Ugly as it sounds.

Wow. Can honestly say that possibility had not crossed my mind. And thankfully so.

I guess we have talked about child molestation so much lately that we can joke about it now?

Its a defense mechanism. A lot easier to make jokes out of something we're uncomfortable with or is disturbing.

Neither really. That dumbass gave his address and his comments are reprehensible. His arrogance is absurd. I just wanted them to read them, and I'm sure they will look at his profile and flag him.
I think its actually funny that he left himself open for it.

It's right out of the NAMBLA brochure. They think children are capable of legitimate rational consent about sex.

Just because the line between 18 and 17, or 17 and 16, or wherever it's set is arbitrary doesn't mean that ergo any standard is arbitrary. Children don't understand sex. You can't rationally consent to something you don't understand.

When did I say that I think they are capable of legitimate, rational consent? I said that if they are, then they can give consent. I also said it is not out of the realm of possibilities that some child prodigy could come along who was advanced enough to understand all that was involved in said act, decision, and therefore, said prodigy would have the ability to consent.

Perhaps the NCAA should ban all coaches from the showers and taking under age kids who are not their own on recruiting or tournaments. All former coaches should not have access to facilities unless the HC is with them. That way you kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

I find it funny that you did so after making a direct, physical threat.
