I mean...I don't see anything wrong with public breastfeeding but at the same time we don't need a closeup snapshot of the areola.

Gotta love the U.S.of A! Purveyors of pornography for the entire planet but no woman shall feed her child in public! That's an outrage!

Anyone that's turned on or offended by breastfeeding is a pervert.

I don't really get the debate. Are public breastfeeders trying to gain acceptance? Are anti-public breastfeeders trying to legally ban?

If you expect people to accept you for being weird in public, you're going to have a hard time. Yes, the perverts are the villains, but why subject yourself to that? I would encourage my wife to cover.

If you are trying to legally ban (is anybody trying to do that?) then go f*** yourself. If you just want to shame people from exposing themselves in public, to each his own.

Don't understand why this subject is so taboo. As a father of 3 all of them are way past this stage I don't get why something that is natural is such a dividing subject. It is a great teaching tool for young ones and also an opportunity for the parents to bond with their children while teaching them about something important instead of letting them learn from TV..

It's not that she's feeding her child it's the fact it's in the middle of a graduation. A little discretion wouldn't have hurt here but some people are just that starved for attention. Obviously a LIBERAL arts major.

Who the hell wants to watch a woman they don't know do that? Those people have issues

Sad we have this type of discussion but I guess it's only natural when we force feed formula on mothers and demonize those giving their children a free, healthier meal.

It's no less natural than a woman whipping out her boobs in public and not covering them to feed or someone taking a dump on the sidewalk when they feel the urge.

You don't have kids? Feeding schedules are critical.

Could an exception be made? Sure. But at least if this was a "statement" it concerns all women, not just black ones.
